Thank you for giving us an update, Haywire.

That said, enjoy your time with your family. Hope you're at peace. |
Enjoy your family while you can. So sorry to hear this.
|
I don't think there's anything I can say here that would help, but I truly hope your family finds peace.
|
Damn it's dusty in here. Go with God and my friendship and respect.
|
God bless and keep you. Every day we live on earth is a blessing.

God bless you and your family. Hope you can find joy in the time you have left with them and have prepared yourself for the kingdom of god. So sorry this came so early.
|
Well sir, I never got the chance to meet you in person, but it's been an honor and a privilege, HayWire. Glad I got to know you in some small way these last few months. You enjoy the time you have left with loved ones, and I hope you managed to complete your bucket list as well.
May the wind always be at your back, and Godspeed wherever they take you. Hopefully somewhere with blue, blue skies and warm sandy beaches. And a lot of hot girls serving you limitless beer and KC BBQ, right? Amen. |

We’re all in the same line; your number is simply up sooner than the rest of us. I read these end of life threads, and the big takeaway— the only takeaway really, is to live. We all major in the minor sometimes and spend too much time online, watching TV or movies, or wasting time with other distractions.
Whether you have a huge family, no family, 500 friends, or only a pet rock— engage. Be child like in your interests; draw, ride a bike, call someone, fly a ****ing kite, train for a 5K or marathon, do 100 push-ups a day, paint your room, build something or tear something down and start over. Stillness is death, and it’s coming sooner than we all think. Cheers to you Mr. Haywire and thank you for showing us courage and dignity, and how to face the ultimate end with a man’s heart. |
Hay, I want to thank you for something really important.
You reminded me (for the millionth time) to slow down and smell the roses. I go so hard with business sometime the blinders go up. Well, yesterday I slowed it down and brought my 11 year old son along to work. We are busy as hell, and my crew can't keep up so I've been dragging knuckles for a while now, and bringing along one of my kids slows me down. He kicked ass. We knocked out a job without any slowdown, and he worked hard. We got to eat lunch lunch together on a big deck facing a large pond (rare in west Kansas). We spend a lot of time together anyway, but this was a little more special. It was special because I didn't take it for granted. Thanks for giving this to me. |

Be nice to one another and this isn't such place. Another good thing to do Is what I do with mine. We buy a couple of doughnuts from time to time and give them away to local PD, FD first responders, etc. We never give our names, just a handshake and a thanks for their service. |
Godspeed HayWire. The courage that you have shown in the face of this wretched disease has been admirable. You will not be forgotten, sir.
|
May you go as peaceful as possible bro...

My nurse came by again today. Not good. She said my symptoms have spread quicker than expected.
I think I'll just not answer the door next time she shows up |
Don't let this guy in either. Unless his last name is Mahomes.

You taught us some valuable lessons in terms of how to deal with an illness like this. Hope to have a glass of champagne (or whatever they serve up there) with you on the other side. Godspeed to you, may your upcoming adventure be a smooth and peaceful one.

It was great hearing from him, then the infusion was so so. The wife brought me home and I pretty much crashed the rest of the day and will for the next few days. She pretty much confines me to the house after infusions. Treats me like a ****in baby, but I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve. We’re talking about haywire here though. sec |

Random question I've always wondered. Is "T-post Tom" referring to fence? |
I'm absolutely terrible finding the right thing to say in times like this. My dad has been fighting this terrible disease a little over 5 years now. As a Chief fan family, we had the opportunity to watch two Superbowl win together. So we had that little bonus with the added time we've been given. We've already discussed how he wants to go when the time comes, and my brother and I will honor his wishes. I wish a peaceful passing to you and strength to your family and friends when the inevitable happens. God Bless you, friend

Best way is to act normal. Ask and answer questions you might get. I've noticed people coming out of the blue lol to see me only to clam up and not say much. Have fun with it. The funeral is for the living and not the deceased I like to shake people's hands and then promise I didn't pass the cancer |

I'm sorry, brother. I'm pretty new here so never knew you, but bless you and your family.
|
Sorry, y'all. My memory has been slipping pretty bad lately and I forget half the shit I post or say.
Don't want to make an (even bigger) ass of myself. Pretty soon when I get to bad I'll make a final CP post so there won't be any questions about it. |
