This is from yesterday. The clothing matches what Patrick was wearing yesterday in Brittany’s IG post.

He has had that clothing line for at least 2 years, my wife showed it to me a long time ago on instagram.

But yes this is from yesterday at Homefield Olathe. I am stunned he works out there, and not somewhere more exclusive. But there is a ton of stuff on twitter about it.

The thing I love about Clark is he does his heavy shit talking afterwards. The Bengals could learn a thing or two from this guy.

We all know how Reid is when discussing an injury, but either he's a much better actor than I thought he was, or Mahomes' ankle isn't nearly as bad as it seemed on Saturday.

Wonder if all this positivity is what caused the line to very quickly hop back to +1.5.

I thought it'd take until about Friday for the mass public to realize how stupid they'd been to write off Mahomes in his house. Turns out it might not even get to Wednesday before that's the case.

It would have been better if the Oline *couch Orlando Brown Jr.* couch was motivated prior to Mahomes getting hurt then he wouldn't have been hurt :banghead: Why should it take an injury to the guy you are paid to protect to get injured to get motivated?

OBJ nor any other lineman was to blame for Patrick's injury. Our Oline had one of its best games if you rewatch the game. They played exceptionally well in the second half and I hope they do so this week as well.

I can't believe this would be a current. They just had an orthopedic doctor on ESPN basically saying he should be in a boot and he shouldn't be putting weight on it this week. Yet, he's not doing any of that. Wasn't in a boot in the press conference, and is reportedly if these photos are correct working out on it. The exact opposite of what this doctor is saying to do. She also didn't seem very optimistic he would be very effective.

Burkholder is pretty revered in terms of trainer stuff so if they didn’t have him in a boot it would seem it’s not as bad?

Yeah, either the Chiefs have* botched this whole deal and Mahomes is being irresponsible (highly doubtful) or the injury is of the least severe possible for a high ankle sprain (more likely).

ESPN also considers Brooke Pryor to be an NFL expert, so it’s not surprising that their medical expert wouldn’t be a reliable source.

No idea what the truth is but literally all available evidence whether it’s how it improved during the game, how it looked after the game, the reports we got the day after the game, or the (alleged) pictures of him working out all point a lot more toward the latter.

I know that Reid keeps Mahomes on a tight leash during the playoffs and forbids him from going out to socialize at any point during the week if he has a game the following weekend. So it’s hard to believe they’d be playing this fast and loose.

njchiefs 01-24-2023 08:42 PM

He is not like other humans. His ligaments are made of silicon rubber. No one mentions it, but we all have seen it … the way he looks like he has rubbery knock kneed girly legs when he scrambles. It’s why he was able to wear his kneecap on the back of his leg after that QB sneak and be fine a couple of weeks later. It’s why Pollard broke his leg, and he didn’t. He’ll be good.

smithandrew051 01-24-2023 08:42 PM

If I were Mahomes, I’d go out in public with a boot on the wrong foot and see if anyone noticed.

Maybe next have my arm in a sling. Or maybe an eyepatch.

Dr.Chao the former NFL doc was on 610 the other day and he was saying the elasticity Mahomes has in arms that allows him to play the way he does is something that extends to his whole body which could lend to his injury not being as severe as it looked.

That is 100% unlikely and the ugly ESPN sports medicine bitch is full of shit.

The Chiefs are arguably the most careful and deliberate team in the league when it comes to injury management/recovery.

Boerigter said putting this type of injury into n a stationary boot is not what they are doing, quite the opposite, keep the leg moving through exercise, heat, and message to keep blood moving, healing it faster…

I think the media is setting this thing up in favor of us. This is a Mahomes legacy boost. The ankle is fine. He is going to come out on Sunday and do the same crazy shit he does week in and week out. It will be a legendary performance. The sprain has been blown out of proportion and I am perfectly fine with all of it.

Has anyone seen a comparison on inside high ankle sprains (like this one) vs. outside (the usual way)? Maybe inside heal faster or are easier to deal with.

Yet, he's not doing any of that. Wasn't in a boot in the press conference, and is reportedly if these photos are correct working out on it. The exact opposite of what this doctor is saying to do. She also didn't seem very optimistic he would be very effective.

Mitchell Schwartz was on 610 today and he was saying the old train of thought was to sit and rest all week until game day, then tape it up for the guy to play. Now though they get the guys out there pushing it and getting them to work on the ankle. He said that blood flow is the key to healing the injury and that the training staff will have him work it as much as possible, but not to a point that will make it worse.

Sounds like that "doctor" is spouting old shit that is no longer what is practiced. Sitting there doing nothing is the worst thing they could have him do.

Is this the same twitter "doctor" that said Mahomes' season was over after the injury in the Browns playoff game?

Maybe next have my arm in a sling. Or maybe an eyepatch.

The Chiefs are trading Patrick Mahomes to the Las Vegas Raiders!

That's a big move in a short time.

Rumor is that Mahones may be at 50% by game time. CEH is out for 2 months with the same injury.

I think he still plays like patrick but only as a pocket passer.

Has anyone seen a comparison on inside high ankle sprains (like this one) vs. outside (the usual way)? Maybe inside heal faster or are easier to deal with.

This makes no sense. Inside high ankle is not a thing.

A high ankle sprain isn't even in the ankle joint. It is a strain/tear of the ligament that keep the tibia and fibula from separating.

He tricked you by talking about Mahones, the lesser known minor league soccer star from Uruguay.

Mahomes will be near 90%.

It’s the latest Q rumor. It’s all over social media. Still haven’t heard why would anyone or the shield do such a thing.

Seriously dude? Rumors from who? Everything points to Mahomes being way way way better than 50%.

Everything but the actual announced diagnosis, you mean?

Sassy Squatch 01-25-2023 08:43 AM

LMAO BRC legitimately just said he's seen a rumor that Mahomes may be about 50% at game time then followed it up with saying there's a bunch of rumors that Damar Hamlin is dead and the NFL/Bills are using a body double, like 5 posts afterwards.
