Yeah I didnt understand this when the street racing thing happened.. One of his guys could of taken the blame for it and got paid for his effort.. It’s not right and the dummy wouldn’t have learned anything..
It’s just as well to learn these lessons now.. Hopefully he is super afraid now.. If not.. Well…. Bye…

The story is far from over w Rice. He's young and has his whole career ahead of him. He can bounce back from this. Will he? That remains to be seen but I don't think it's fair to say he is going to be Riggs or Aaron Hernandez just yet.

But he didn't. He got in a fight at a drunk pool bar a few months after and is presumably part of his punishment.

He got in a fight the year in cleveland but it got swept under.

But the bar fight was the worst by far because it was while the league was sorting out the main incident

Personally, if I don't like the public behavior of some of the NFL's employees then I can simply choose not to support the NFL financially.

More proof that punishment or even the threat of punishment is not a deterrent. As others have said, these guys aren't playing checkers out there on the field. They are the very definition of people who put their health on the line for our entertainment.

If the 'average' person did this, it wouldn't be in the news and that person would be in jail awaiting trial.

I don't understand that though. This isnt about the fans. This is about Andy and Clark. And the owners and managers absolutely have the right to tell their employees to shape the **** up or we'll toss you aside. And if you want to know what lack of control looks like take a look at the browns who had manziel and gordon getting puke drunk the night before games.

They 100% signed up to be part of the chiefs rules and the nfls rules. And he has no excuse when he is dealing with maybe the best leader ever in the sport. maybe he should realize it is a privilege to be on this team surrounded by greatness instead of believing he is above the rules.

What? How does this look any different than what it was when it happened? You people are absolutely reaching if you think this correlates to anything that has happened off the field this offseason.

Yeah, when this happened I immediately thought “STFU, beach-@$$ rookie; you’re mouthing off to one of the best to ever play the game.” The prognosis for longevity on the Chiefs roster isn’t trending in a positive direction.

Mahomes promptly put him in his place and there's no way that didn't further his respect from the rest of the team. I was thinking to myself "the audacity to even say anything to the GOAT"

You're over thinking this

I see Rice’s competitive spirit as a positive.

When he drives, he’s going to get to his destination first.

When someone takes a picture of him, he punches them.

His desire to be the best is never satisfied.

The play was completely ruined by a bad snap. Mahomes had to protect the team's chances of kicking a field goal instead of holding the ball to extend the play, which risks running out the clock. The Chiefs are damn lucky Mahomes recovered that ball and was able to kill the play ASAP. I can think of other instances where that could have been a disaster.

ya but he wasn't completely right. With the low snap Mahomes had less than 1 second to make a decision, Rice wasn't aware of that and acted out.

Stryker 05-08-2024 07:27 PM

Ok, and if Rice was focused on drills with Mahomes and not being a thug in Dallas, this NEVER would have happened! Rice wrote his own destiny and he f'd himself not once but, twice. What an idiot! THIS is the bottom line! Enjoy the ring, the what if's, the law suits coming your way, the suspensions and the possible jail time. The zebra has shown his stripes. **** Rice! If he CLEARS all of this and gets "lucky" with an 8 game suspension, do you trust him? I sure as hell wouldn't! Once a problem child, always a problem child. Just my .02

That is complete overreaction and trying to tie things together that don't relate to each other. If anything Rice doing that shows his confidence in himself as a player, YOU WANT THAT FROM YOUNG PLAYERS.

Mahomes was primarily trying to stop the clock after a terrible snap by Creed Humphrey. Chiefs are fortunate that didn’t end up as a turnover or running out the clock and losing the game.

Well that makes no sense considering that the Chicago PD is supposedly also the source of the broken jaw report from 810.

This was all a day later after the guy would have already been diagnosed by a doctor. Does it take more than 24 hours to diagnose a broken jaw?

That isn't even being a diva, he's telling Mahomes he's open at the goalline, Mahomes tells him the snap got rolled to him, they are fine after it.

Anyone who thinks this has anything to do with anything off the field is just reaching so damn hard. A young player having the confidence in himself to want the ball at the end of the SB and letting the best QB in the game know about it, is the kind of shit you want from young players. It shows confidence, it shows he isn't scared of the moment, he wants it.

This is the snap that Mahomes literally told the huddle that the ball was going to Kelce or nobody. Doubt Mahomes even looked his direction.

Is that the same unbridled confidence that lead him to speed down a highway causing an injury accident and fleeing the scene?

Every player on the field is capable of expressing emotion... who cares. But it requires discipline and self awareness to still make good decisions while raging. Was Rashee raging at the GOAT at that particular moment what the team needed? No, he's being an ass.

This just gets weirder and weirder.

Wisconsin_Chief 05-09-2024 12:43 PM

So, Rashee Rice is kind of a piece of complete human shit.

Cool.

staylor26 05-09-2024 12:43 PM

Ummm that sounds like bullshit if you ask me

Has his lawyer held a PC stating his guilt yet?

Wisconsin_Chief 05-09-2024 12:52 PM

Didn't even realize Rashee has a state senator for an attorney. That should certainly help.

I guess being in Texas and knowing Clark Hunt has it's perks.

ptlyon 05-09-2024 12:54 PM

The Lit lounge sounds like the place ya wanna be.

But ya that sounds like bs. Wouldn't Instagram have record of rice messaging him? The victims phone? Etc?

tk13 05-09-2024 12:57 PM

Cut them both!

This is starting to get pretty weird.

Yeah, as with all of these things, I'm not calling for his head or anything until the facts come out. But man, if this wasn't an alcohol-fueled exchange in the early morning and was instead premeditated? Yikes.

The problem is that there's going to be indisputable evidence of the Instagram messages (assuming that's not bullshit).

I'm not sure I'd go that far. He sounds like an immature asshole that has a lot of growing up to do.

So should KC go ahead and cut Kelce now, or does a certain level of on-field production make it OK to assault a head coach?

Premeditation is very, very different than an alcohol induced anger fit.

Setting someone up like that is...yeah very bad and would speak incredibly poorly on his character, which does not bode well for his future.

Kelce hasn't done in 11 seasons what Rice has done in 1.

Hell, not even Toney does shit like this.

Come on Detox! Who among us hasn't lured an innocent person to a location with the promise of work just to beat them up? That's just boys being boys.

Hammock Parties 05-09-2024 01:37 PM

this smells like a disgruntled photographer looking for a payday more than anything

is his jaw broken or is he just bruised? fishy

Rice hasn't been found guilty of anything at this time. Until a verdict is rendered, he and Kelce are tied 0-0 is the utter dipshittery department.

Rice is already 0-1 in dipshittery. Regardless of if he gets charged with anything, the street racing shit was bad and Kelce has not done anything even remotely close to this.

I'm not sure why it really matters. It's assault either way, and he went to the hospital, so there won't be much to debate in terms of the injury.
