This ump isn't going to give you close pitches. THROW ****ING STRIKES.
At least avoided further damage.
Well that's not near as bad as it could have been
Not great not terrible
Bad inning but could’ve ended much worse.
All things considered, that ended up ok. Hopefully the ump squeezes them as bad.

Still in it. Could have been much worse.
Terrible inning but at least it's still a game. They could have blown it open there.
At least the Yankees never got the big hit to bust it open
Don't like the walks... but really limited the damage.
First batter should have been out on strikes. That said, not nearly as bad as it could have been.
ENOUGH WITH THE GODDAMN WALKS.
Now c'mon bats, pick us up!!! |
Let's answer back with 2 (or more) of our own!!!
That was the most frustrated the Royals have made me since probably Trevor Cahill blowing a save in 2017.
Could have been worse, I guess.
At least we’re only down only one. |

Time for the big bats!!!

And that inning is the downside to using analyticals. Numbers say don't let Wacha go 3rd time through. Numbers say use Zerpa with the lefties coming up. Human element comes into play.
Gurriel is the best player on the planet!
Gurriel is having elite ABs today.
As much as that half inning sucked, we are fortunate AF it wasn’t a true disaster. Zerpa wasn’t missing that bad, and got no borderline calls whatsoever along the way. Not even faulting the ump, just uncanny consistency. They were all high leverage at bats thanks to the leadoff walk, with the likes of Soto and Judge right out of the gate.
We knocked the shit out of Cole.
So close, ripped that one.
Gurriel shouldn't play /reeruns Vlad and BWillie
Shit, they're taking out Cole.
Knocked Cole out pretty early and did some damage.
No matter what, the Royals should not be intimidated by these Yankees. |
Yuli barely misses a HR to left and ends up with a single, lol.
Baseball and old slow guys. |
I was told Gerrit Cole was going to shut us out today.

That wasn't a ****ing strike for us.
Here we go. We're going to get a lot of Tim Hill and Luke Weaver in this series.
Must be nice when your relieve comes in and just throws strikes.

LOL at strike 1. We didn’t get shit like that.
MJ heating up could actually carry this team in the postseason
Yeah the ump cam is great when it's a replay. I don't want to see it live though.
PUT THE BALL IN PLAY!!!
Nice. Come on lads!!
OOPSIE!
That's huge. Might have to pinch hit for Isbel here though.
I'm surprised he went to second there.

Pinch hit for Isbel

Gift

I would have let Wacha throw to Soto and Judge and then pulled him, but whatever. It’s just as plausible Wacha could have given up 2 runs if he stayed in. He was tired. |
I like more of that!
VOLPE AINT
Well, that’s a gift.
We’ll take it. Now, don’t blow this opportunity. |
