Jarvis Green, DE, Broncos
Seriously!? Green signed a four-year, $20 million free agent deal with the Broncos in March. He was a key contributor for eight years as a versatile downlineman in New England’s 3-4 scheme. But in Denver, Green eventually lost his starting job to Ryan McBean; the Broncos must have felt he was too expensive to be a backup (Green wound up walking away $3.225 million). With Ty Warren out for the season, the Patriots may want to consider bringing Green back.

We also got a draft pick out of that Alphonso Smith trade. Don't know what round though.

I dont see that on any of the tweets. But the bottom line is you traded him for a 3rd string tight end.

He was your defensive coordinator too?

Quesadilla Joe 09-04-2010 02:11 PM

This trade says A LOT of good things about Perrish Cox, Sydquan Thompson, Cassius Vaughn. No way in hell would we even think of trading Alphonso unless we had some truly special players to fill in. Gronkowski is a fierce run blocker and should help us immensely in short yardage situations.

Quesadilla Joe 09-04-2010 02:16 PM

You guys wish that Pioli would admit a mistake like McDaniels did. You guys are stuck with Cassel for the next 5 years ROFL

The Bad Guy 09-04-2010 02:17 PM

No, it doesn't say a lot of good things about those players. It has nothing to do with them really. It does speak about how ****ing awful Alphonso Smith is. There's always room for good cornerbacks on your team.

Good move moron. You backtrack and ****ing drink more kool-aid than anyone in the history of fandom.

I didn't backtrack on Alphonso. I never was happy with what we gave up to get him, but I do think he can be a good starter in the NFL on the outside.

No way in hell does Denver give up on Alphonso Smith if they don't have better players on the team. Perrish Cox and Sydquan Thompson can be stars in the NFL.

knowmo i love you man and i may disagree with you alot and still think its crazy how you can get people heated so fast some times but damn your homerism right now is killing me. i would just like to point out something to you though and i want your opinoin on it why would you guys trade scheffler to the lions and then trade them again to get back a TE?

Next 5 years? What are you smoking? I can guarantee you that if Cassel does not show improvement during THIS SEASON, he is toast as a KC starter. Haley is not gonna ride Cassel to his own unemployment, he will make adjustments if necessary.
