He and the Dolphins owner had a plan last offseason for him to become the starting QB and a minority owner of the franchise (a plan involving tampering for which the Dolphins were fined by the league), so it's not much of a surprise he'd look to follow through with it now.

How is it legal to give a player an ownership stake? Sounds like cheating the salary cap in a major way.
