Maybe they should simulate the game with an updated roster on Tecmo Super Bowl.

The game would take 15 minutes with no risk of injury.

Hell, they should just simulate the entire playoffs and Superbowl.

We'll just need a couple of days for cdcox to make some "updates" to the code.

Let's say you're the Eagles and that makes for some legitimate rust concerns because your QB might play 1 game in a span of 6 weeks.

Not to mention the logistics, and how it would impact the SB.

There's no perfect solution. If the game were to be resumed, it needed to be this week. That ship has apparently sailed, so the only other option is to cancel it altogether.

Somewhere, Knowmo is giggling out of control......

They'll meet in the divisional round, and the media will cream themselves.

They will play to see who gets a shot at the evil Kansas City Chiefs.

They needed to ****ing play the game Thursday. With that out the window, Buffalo should take a forfeit and we move along.

Because it wasn't Cincinnati saying they didn't want to play on Thursday.

It's so goddamn absurd that the league has let it come to this. Goodell's ability to ALWAYS make the wrong call absolutely astounds me.

Maybe move some games on AFC side, would be bad for broadcast partners to not play 4 of the wildcards games on time.

That's an interesting idea. Only AFC teams lose the week before the Superbowl.

Yeah the extra week is an advantage, but it's also a huge distraction. Seems like a pretty small advantage.

Goodell does a good job, it is like this universal reflex to always badmouth the guy like it is a way to fit into some secret society of mother****ers that do not know shit except how to try to fit into some groups of shitheads.

Has Goodell said anything about this?

Yea, resuming the game this week was always the best solution.

Now, the only thing that makes sense is to not play it at all.

Moving the postseason back a week for one game is reeruned.

Every other solution I'm hearing is also reeruned.

Thank you for calling it what it is. I love how they phrased it as they have made their decision. They didn't. They punted that shit down the road so that they don't have to.

jerryaldini 01-03-2023 10:17 PM

Bills don't want to play a resumed game, and league won't mess with all that. Bills only hope is this random coin flip thing that results from the league feeling pressured to favor them. I think the league is hoping Demar recovers fast enough that they can declare either NC or forfeit and move on.

Naw, the universal reflex always comes after Goodell makes a dumb decision. It's not only usually dumb, it's usually the worst decision possible. He has a knack for that.
