First, I don't judge others on their weight. Frankly, it is their choice. If they choose to be fat, and are happy with their choice, then fine.
But, please don't say it is out of their control. Nothing is further from the truth. My oldest daughter is not naturally skinny. But, the kid is smart. She has straight A's and doesn't even have to study.
The way I explain it to her is this:
Everyone is different. You may have a harder time losing weight than a friend, but that friend has to spend hours a night studying for a geometry test.
No one talks about kids who fail at school as if it is beyond their control. Frankly, because we know if they put the effort in, they will at least pass.
And, the same goes with weight. Will they have a super model body? Maybe not, but they don't have to be obese either.
This kind of thinking really upsets me. I once had a friend who was overweight and she told me, about how she had a 'gland' problem while she was eating ICE CREAM out of the carton. I told her that I didn't know there was an Edy's ice cream gland. Needless to say, not so close anymore.
Again, if you want to be fat.... fine. Be fat, but please don't whine about how it is out of your control.
Now, I UNDERSTAND that diets suck. I UNDERSTAND having limited will power. I UNDERSTAND that it is HARD.
I am going through all that right now. I am pushing myself even harder to get that magazine cover model six pack that I have always wanted. And, I fall down time to time. I don't always eat the best choice. But, I tell you what I don't do.... claim that it is out of my control. Because the size of my nose is out of my control.... the size of my waist is not.
