Also read Taveras is raking shit right now and there are whispers he might make the September callup.

I think with Berkman down again they should consider him now, but for sure in September along with Wong and Jackson our future up the middle.

No need to hurry him. Taveras and Wong should be on the Major Laeagur roster next year.

Was reading on www.stltoday.com/sports/cards that baseball prospectus ranks Tavarez as the #4 prospect, and after recent trades by the Yankees and Reds, the Cardinals now have the #1 farm system. Not sure if they're more reliable than Baseball America.

Most teams that are not top 5 payrolls in MLB after a WS apperance falls off the playoff radar for at least a few years.

We went to 3 WS in 7 years. And in 2014 we will have a better lineup than should produce a longer window of oppertunity than when we started this current run.

Having ownerships MAIN desire to win does that.. having the Glasshole family who are scumbags as the ownership has the exact opposite effect.

But it is possible for the Royals to have a winner some day. 7 out of the 9 players on the field when we won the World series were drafted or developed by the Cardinals. The Royals could do that.

Two weeks before September would not be rushing it in my opinion especially if you plan on calling them up in September. If you think they are ready for next year AND you think you have a chance at the playoffs, you might want to see who is a possibility for playoff rosters (ala Worrell, 1985).

What about that service time? If he comes up before September does that start the 6 years of control time that the cardinals have in their pocket?

None of our guys are in the same stratosphere as Pujols was. Plus our starting pitching is shit and there is no way any of our guys in the minors are legit number 1 or 2 ML starters, most are 5's.

You just have to draft better. Draft #1's, not #5's. Your drafting near the top, you have a better chance than most.

Pujols was a lucky draft pick but the whole roster wasnt lucky picks and we didnt win the WS because of Pujols.
