The Kentucky write up doesn't even mention Calipari.

Conner Frankamp is going to win a national championship at KU. Dude's going to be draining them at will from beyond NBA by the time he's a junior.

you mean offense is an issue?

no way

stop complaining ... why do you hate Bill Self?

I can't wait for next season....I loved watching guys like Jeff Boschee and Tyrel Reed make it rain from the arc.

we'll see

@rustindodd: I believe Tyshawn Taylor's exact words were that this new KU team looks like it "can shoot the p*ss out of it."

I'm certainly not pointing out that Tharpe should be a main longball option.

But I think for Tharpe to really take off and be something special this season (which I think he can) he needs to play smarter. He spent last season learning to know "when" to shoot, which IMO is very important. You can always improve your shot, and his 3PT% while below average (I think around 33%), can get better with practice, and I think it will. Having people outside that can shoot the rock will also help him be able to penetrate in the lane. This team is going to have all sorts of ways to score it's going to be sickening. But with a little better shot and other players as legitimate threats, will allow him to be open more. I think he's going to be a double figure scorer just because of how much he'll have the ball in his hands. somewhere around 10-12pts a game.

Don't necessarily agree. While the offense wasn't terribly efficient in 12, but Taylor could and did beat anybody and everybody off the bounce and TRob was other****ingworldly. Dude was just off the wall. He consistently scored on double and triple teams. That team made it their MO to score when they needed it. The D was OK. Withey was nails and EJ was good but Taylor wasn't a defensive monster and Conner ****ing Teahan was playing D. That team won on the offensive end.

13. That was offensive struggle.

Buehler445 06-12-2013 09:38 PM

That's not to say though that I wouldn't have welcomed Frankamp over Teahan.

Just curious... We do the "Capital City League" during the summer with Drake and various other small schools and old players like Royce White, Garrett, Brackins and so on.. But our coaches aren't involved... Do all schools do something similar?

It's six teams then there's two Cyclones and two drake players per team then the rest is filled with others. Basically street ball not much defense but it's still pretty cool.

KU brings in alums to scrimmage with team.

I can't wait for this season to start. This team is going to be nasty.

Is that something that counts against your practice or a similar thing where the coaches aren't involved?

I'm am waaay more excited for the season and Big12 in general than I was when the season ended. The Big12 isn't as down as it originally looked.

That team scored due to athleticism. And on the pure will of the two players you mentioned. They couldn't shoot for shit.
