Because it wasn't Cincinnati saying they didn't want to play on Thursday.

It's so goddamn absurd that the league has let it come to this. Goodell's ability to ALWAYS make the wrong call absolutely astounds me.

In this scenario, does that drop the bills to #3 seed?

You have an extra week between conference title games and Super Bowl. Move the playoffs back a week and finish the Buffalo/Cincy game before playoffs.

One player/one team should not cause this type of mass disruption to the league’s schedule.

Minimizing the disruption should be the priority and the easiest way to do that is to either give Buffalo a forfeit or call it a no contest and the Chiefs get the #1 seed with a win vs the Raiders.

Whatever asswipe.

Go ahead and badmouth Goodell to fit in to your group of shitheads that say shit they think they are supposed to say.

Are you OK with the insane proposal of randomly drawing a Chiefs game to label as No Contest? 81.25% chance of stealing a victory from KC.

I actually haven't badmouthed Goodell once.

That's not the point.

Regardless of how you feel about him, anybody with half a brain should be able to agree that the Goodell and the NFL dropped the ball here.

All they needed to do was say look, we understand that you don't want to play, but if that's the case, you're going to have to forfeit, because there's nothing short of that we can do to continue the season like it needs to be done.

Not playing the game this week is reeruned unless the game is going to be canceled, and the Chiefs get the 1 seed with a win on Sunday.

Moving the season back, trying to somehow fit the game in any other way after Thursday, flipping coins, etc. are all doubling down on a bad decision not to play the game in the first place.

All of this is moot though, because you're only chiming in to white knight some random loser yet again. It's a very obvious personality trait.

I'm sure their PR consultants made the call for them, cause let's face it, the outrage machine would have been out in full force. If the kid is ok as we all hope, they should have the latitude to move on.

Wasn't Goddell part of the concussion thing? Then the whole Kap situation, probably knew something about Gruden, Snyder, etc. It's really hard to argue he's done a good job handling these situations.

Of course not.

I say keep it simple… Chiefs get the #1 seed with a win vs the Raiders based on most wins and best winning %.

Or what? What are you going to do about it? What will anyone do about it? I'll tell you what they'll do, absolutely nothing. They'll just have to take it.

According to the PFR WP generator, Cincy had a 70% chance of winning the game.

I think that's a little high, but at least 60 IMO.

I don’t think that’s great either. I want to see those teams finish the game. It had potential to be a heck of a shootout.

ROYC75 01-03-2023 10:25 PM

Should have played Weds night, both Cincy & Buffalo's week 18 games go to Monday night!

The time for that has passed. Move on.
