Any new news on the eligibility issues?

That would involve completely changing his offense, so I doubt it. I think they've just been outrecruited on some of those bigs the last 2 years. Okafor and Turner going to Duke and Texas last year, for example, wasn't for any lack of trying. And the year before that they did get the best one in Embiid.

Saw this thread and thought...'Oh, must be some Iowa State news!'...no just KU stuff. dang.

There isn't exactly a glut of 7 foot 17 year olds with great footwork and athleticism, ready to take college by storm. Most of those guys are 6'9-6'10, with a few legit 6'11 guys thrown in.

A true 7 foot 5 star recruit is pretty damn rare. I don't think people realize just how ****ing special Embiid was.

I think it was Embiid's second exhibition game against Washburn or someone and he had a play where he ran full speed down the floor, jumped in stride and dunked an alley-oop thrown from the 3 point line.

I said immediately after that play that I had never seen a man his size do something so athletic.

Some people mocked my evaluation and I think they could feel my eye's rolling through their computer screens.

And that too. There just aren't a lot of good 7 foot prospects.

I miss watching Embiid play basketball. I wonder if we'll ever get to see him do it again.

Don't worry child, I've come.

The longer we wait on Diallo to clear the more worried I get.

It's looking like no. It's miraculous how much he loved basketball in Lawrence but hates it in Philidelphia.

It would have been Fred's most talented roster. But who knows, Prohm says he's keeping the offense the same and working on defense so that can't hurt. He also brings a lot of energy, Fred was very calm and laid back. Might not be bad.

Talked with Phil Forte's dad last night. I've sure you've all heard it before, but Phil grew up a life long Jayhawk fan, and Phil Sr played football at KU. Said Marcus Smart didn't really waiver on his decision to Oklahoma State over KU, was always pro Oklahoma State.

Whew. Glad I didn't have to watch that son of a bitch play in crimson and blue. Would have been nice to have Forte, though. He seems like a nice kid, not sure if he fits in the Bill Self mold for a guard though, but anybody that shoots like that probably has a place anywhere.

Good news KU fans! KU is moving the Pitt State exhibition game to Thurs, Nov 5th should the World Series return to Kansas City. I hope it doesn't come to that, but great job KU. I didn't want to have to miss one or the other in realtime.
