Casual convo north of the wall:

J-Snow_"So, the maesters in oldtown cured your grayscale?"
Mormont- "Yeah. Actually it was this wimpy novice that did it."
J-Snow-"Was he a fat ****, always sounding whiny, goes by Sam?"
Mormont-"That's him."
J-Snow- "You're welcome"

With no buildup at all, the plan suddenly became "We're gonna sneak into a city under siege by rowing a boat up to it and walking in, then convince the woman who clearly has no interest in anything other than world domination to suddenly put everything on pause by sending Jon to go capture an undead creature and bring it back (a journey that should really take a month or two each direction).

It's ludicrously simplistic compared to GRRM's style of scheming.

Felt exactly the same way. I don't get why they need Cersei's help at all.

Send a dragon north of the wall and burn the hordes of undead.

Whole thing seemed manufactured as you pointed out.

If the Ice King can knock the crows out of the sky with a glance, can he do the same with a dragon?

I thought that was more about the Night King breaking Bran's connection to them. I didn't think they were knocked out of the sky...

Ever since the Ice King put his mark on Bran he's been in his head.

She wanted to illustrate to Jaime that ol' faithful Bronn is only faithful to the $, and that only she was his one true ally. Then she slaps Jaime with the "i'm pregnant now kiss me" crap.

I don't believe that's correct. I don't recall if she knew about it before it happened, but she specifically said she was going to punish Bronn and didn't say anything about paying him.

Maybe tyrion bringing back a wight is what causes Jaime to save him from Cersie?

Great Expectations 08-15-2017 04:06 PM

The night king has to be the most powerful force yet on the show. Otherwise Dany has already won.

I am betting that dragons perform sub-optimally in the cold and well the Walkers bring freezing cold with them.

Did he do any power up shit to the crows, or did Bran just freak out when he realized the Night King could "see" him and lost his hold on the birds?

The Night King waved his hand at the birds as if he was using The Force to knock them out of the sky. I take that as we're too assume he has magical powers.
