SS just started walking to the dugout as soon as it left the bat.

Nice win, Escobar. Hell yeah!!

How long do you think we'll have Scott Barlow until he gets traded for cash like Scott Alexander?

I'd trade Scott Barlow to another team if the other team agrees to take Kennedy also.

Hammels too..

Jesus, we have so many needed salary dumps this season it's laughable.

Jerok 05-30-2018 08:33 AM

Who cares how much the owner spends? Salary dumps vs getting prospects, I'll go with prospects, especially in year 1 of a rebuild. Those contracts will end before our team gets good.

OKchiefs 05-30-2018 08:45 AM

I just hope they don't **** up the next TV contract, or that we're not too late. Our current contract is laughable.

Pretty sure that ship sailed.

Well it's been reported that Tampa was negotiating a TV contract to pay around $82 million a year, so I'm not sure why that ship has sailed.

He started this season in Omaha because he didn’t show in ST he was ready for MLB time, and they got Duda cheap.

Martinez was a mistake, as discussed last week, but he also was in independent ball before his breakthrough 2015 season at Omaha. It’s not like the guy was a youngster who came through the system and got overlooked.

Yes, but I still find it crazy they just gave up on a dude that damn near hit .400 in AAA. And look at that, he's a .300 hitter in MLB.

If it wasn't for the MLB All Star rule that every team must have a representative, would the Royals have anyone deserving? Maybe Herrera?

siberian khatru 05-30-2018 02:39 PM

Blaine Boyer on the DL with a "back strain."

Apparently strained from turning around to see all his pitches flying off and over the fences.

Absolutely. Herrera, then Moose.

If both of them are traded? Soler followed by, and I can’t believe I’m saying this, Gordo (Junis would be a candidate also).

They probably wouldn't have anyone if it weren't for the rule. Herrera would be the best shot and will probably be the lone representative this year.

With the Yankees and Red Sox being good again and the Astros winning the WS last year, their votes will outpace a lot of people and rightly so on a lot of them.
