Im glad the tag isn’t happening and they aren’t folding to his salary demands.

Don’t pay mid tier tackles top of the market money, especially when you let a potential hall of famer go last season because he wanted top dollar.

I don't want to give MUCH more than a 2nd for the right to give someone a metric ****ton of money. But if I can give them a sweetener that also gets me a little back in return the following year? For a GM that does a lot of damage with 3rd day picks?

Yeah, I could talk myself into that.

To Chiefs: Tunsil, 2024 Texans 5th
to Houston: Chiefs 2023 2nd and 2023 Comp 4th

Contract: Eh - lets just say what we offered Brown last season with, what, a 10% kicker? More of total $$ in signing bonus to goose the guarantees?

What extra 3rd this year are you talking about?

It's probably time to come to terms with this...the Chiefs think Brown is gonna find out his market is terrible in FA so he'll come crawling back...or we'll have a rookie LT.

Brown is basically banking that some shitty ass team like the Bears or Atlanta etc will offer him a big deal.

Let him walk if he won't accept a team friendly deal. Same with Clark.

If you're going to pay somebody, pay Jones.

I've been telling you guys for a year now that if Veach wasn't going to let Hill hold him over a barrel, who actually WAS elite, he wasn't going to let Brown hold him hostage.

Learned their lesson from bad contracts with Sammy Watkins, Anthony Hitchens, & Frank Clark. It will be interesting to see what they do with Orlando's spot and others.

Not terribly since it would be Niang and Prince by week 3.

Lewan is a brokedick.

as is Niang. They would be trying to bring Kinnard in by October.

Let them do that. There is a reason why bad teams routinely stay bad. Making him the highest paid LT in football is what a bad team does. I would wonder if Poles learned anything from Veach if he makes a move like that.

I mean I get that but the Bears OL is literally garbage and they have all this cap room to use.

Even if he's not able to find a better deal somewhere else, I think he probably still walks. People have a hard time admitting they are wrong.

Washington has some cap space and I expect them to try to steal a few guys from us.

Correct, but they did not end up with the #1 pick just because of their OL. They need a lot of help and overpaying one position is not a good idea, especially when said player wants a market setting contract despite not being worth it.

Orlando won a Super Bowl. He reached the peak of the mountain and his legacy is sealed. Now he wants his money.

Same as Tyreek. These guys want 3 things in this league: a ring, as much money as they can get and their health when they retire

They could legit front load the deal so he makes next to nothing when they expect their team to be better.

He wants guaranteed money. Not sure front loading will work for him. He's smarter than that.

BryanBusby 03-06-2023 03:30 PM

I'm feeling Dillard on a prove it deal and a tackle in the first 2 rounds
