Everyone screaming "our backups suck" have to look at the fact that it's 90% of our backups playing all at once for the first time together against the entirety of Denver's starters. Not every backup player sucks.
The backup WRs aren't all getting open, so Wentz is holding the ball a bit. When he does, there are OL that aren't ready from a strength perspective to hold up on a snap-to-snap basis, especially Hanson and Nourzad. I do like their progression since preseason though.
It's hard to judge how Wentz would do as a backup without playing with starters even if he hasn't looked great.
I think a few players look good out there. Humphries has been dominant, honestly. Wanya has been solid at RT. He can't hold up as long as you need with everything else going on. I've liked some of what I seen from Remigio at WR. I've liked the effort from Uche on defense. I also like some things I've seen from Roland-Wallace but there are some breakdowns too.
There are some guys that simply need to go in this offseason though, and some guys that are clearly not that good. I liked Johnson coming out but he needs to walk as an RFA. Nnadi and Tuipulotu are shit and need to go. Hendershot isn't good enough and can go. Cam Jones is absolutely lost out there. Conner has been nearly as bad as Johnson and needs to play deep safety IMO.
