I've stated that the defense played like shit, but Alex couldn't put it away either. It sucks he was put in that situation but the Chiefs needed more than "good enough".

He WAS more than good enough. He was exceptional by any definition of the word. The defense had an historical collapse.

Yet, he wasn't

The throw Alex made to Bowe was good enough to win the game.

Even Bowe himself acknowledged that and said the reason HE DIDNT EVEN TRY TO GET HIS FEET IN BOUNDS was he had a hurt foot that he thinks would have broken if he got his feet in bounds.

Again, I'm not even getting into the final drive stuff because he had more time than that to get it done and destroy their soul because of the Colts defensive play in the 2nd half.

Ok so you think that you have some sort of empirical truth that the offense sucked in the second half. Wrong, we scored 13. 13 in both halves with a total of 26 for the game wins how many playoff games this year? Face it, our -efense sucked.

Just for reference. 26 points would have been enough to win every playoff game so far except one, ours.

We needed more, it's simple as that. The patron saint of ****ed up situations is Tom Brady who makes his living with these circumstances of bad situations.

Tribal, as a guy that sees you as a friend of sorts...can I make a honest suggestion?

Take a break from this for a month or two.

We all have a certain level of emotional investment in this team and sometimes those emotions have a way of getting in the way of our enjoyment of the team.

Alex Smith is probably gonna be this teams starter for the foreseeable future and with the love affair Andy Reid has for him, that's probably a good thing. If Alex can get over the mental hurdles of going from a game manager to a franchise quarterback (and I think he played at that level after the bye) then this team is gonna win big games with Alex at QB.

I don't necessarily mean to single you out on this (even though that's what I did) as I think this applies to quite a few posters here...my apologies if this isn't taken as a good hearted observation.

Taking a break from the situation might help you get back to why you like the Chiefs in the first place.
