Win? What are you trying to win? More games than last year? I'd say almost definitely you do. Better QB play than last year? Almost certainly.

Win the Super Bowl for the Chiefs this year? Your team is not good enough.

Alex Smith went 13 - 3 in 2011 and would have played in the Super Bowl if Kyle Williams didn't drop 2 punts. 1 in the 4th quarter and 1 in overtime. People forget that. But they were up in the NFC Championship game in the 4th quarter. And they would have gone to the Super Bowl with Alex Smith as the starting QB if they could catch punts.

Who is looking for an excuse? People are massively overreacting. Alex played great vs. the Saints. So everybody is looking at 1 game vs. the 49ers. He didn't really do that bad there either. He hit several WR's right in the hands in full stride and they flat out dropped it. He's far better than what you had. He's going to need a team around him like any QB. He won't carry the team to the top by himself. But he's still an upgrade.

If that's what is being talked about why are you bringing up a playoff game from two years ago?

I'm a long time reader and a first time poster here but, I got to say something here.

This whole Geno Smith thing is really stupid.

The guy had a nice little winning streak for a few games last year. Before that he looked like a 2nd or 3rd round pick. After that he looked like a second or third round pick. Since the winning streak there hasn't been anything good about Geno Smith. He showed poor leadership when his team started losing. He has no personality whatsoever. He got drafted where he should have and no NFL team was fooled by his agent's hype. He looked stupid in Mooch's workshop. He didn't go to Sanchez's mini camp in California. He showed up out of shape to training camp. Rex Ryan killed him in the press for a bad practice. When is the time Rex did that to a player? He never did it to Tebow or even Gholston.

I can't believe the stupid excuses. People bitch that people will make excuses for Alex but, talk about race and "rookie" when talking about Geno at the same time?

I have no idea how there is even a poll comparing Alex Smith to Geno Smith.

People who are gaga for Geno should just trade for him on Madden and keep their alternate reality to themselves.

If I were in charge I would end the Geno talk. It's reeruned.

I just needed to vent.
