10 percent seems low to me. Witnessed arrest with quick cpr and defibrillation

This shit could be over for you in one damn play

Every player should get what they can while they can in this crazy sport.

(Shut up, lex) <<—- kidding of course.

You’re correct.

This is just piling on at this point.

But there has to be a bad guy!

I mean, from everything I read McDermott and Taylor forced the issue by taking their teams to their respective locker rooms. It really does sound like the NFL expected a 5 minute warm up period then resume play initially.

Perhaps you just give the bills the L and do not play any of the week 18 games (out of respect for the situation) and then start the playoffs the week after. The Bills were going to lose this game before the injury. You could also just suspend the game indefinitely but if the news is bad the Bills and league will not want to play this coming weekend either.

What in the actual **** are you talking about?!?? There's 5+ minutes left in the first quarter...

The Bills need to forfeit. Rescheduling the game means CIN starts with the ball up 7-3. They'd probably lose anyway.

Wife is a CRNA and former Neuro ICU nurse. Has administered probably thousands of intubations and done plenty of CPR.

Her take is that 9 minutes of CPR doesn’t necessarily mean anything regarding brain damage as it just means they needed to continue getting blood flowing to brain until he regained consciousness. Good CPR for nine minutes when done quickly enough from beginning can lead to full recovery.

Says intubation occurred in ambulance and since they waited for the family he was likely critical but stable and either in and out of consciousness or conscious. Couldn’t imagine they would wait to go to the hospital if he remained unconscious, even for family.

Says going to ICU and being intubated means you are automatically listed in critical condition and is not an indication necessarily of severity. Says they will have to run tests for potential brain damage.

Prayers to Demar Hamlin and his family. Sending positive thoughts to them and the entire Bills organization.

Yeah, we're not infallible. Life is fragile. Obviously people even younger than Hamlin have had their hearts stop without any physical contact.

I think just canceling it is the right call. Not sure what the outcome should be or how it should be handled, but there’s no easy way to play this one.

Seeing speculation of torn aorta. I hope that's wrong
