He's at 49ers camp, not Chiefs camp right? Still, it does come off as a slam on the Pioliless Chiefs.

Dammit, Donnie.

Chiefs 2011 first-round pick Jon Baldwin is working as the No. 2 receiver opposite Dwayne Bowe in training camp.

The club signed Donnie Avery to push Baldwin, but Avery missed the spring with a high ankle sprain, and so far in camp "has had an issue with dropped passes." Injury- and drop-proneness are nothing new for Avery, giving Baldwin a chance to finally realize his potential. He's back on the radar as a WR5/6 pick.

Avery dropped a shit ton of passes last year.

If Baldwin and Avery are worthless this year we're in for a world of hurt.

If Alex is just going to throw to TEs or check down anyway what does it matter who's a WR besides Bowe?

After an uneven start that began with several incomplete passes, the skill players really picked it up despite a faint drizzle that never really stopped. WR Donnie Avery kicked things off by catching a pass on a slant route in front of S Neiko Thorpe and broke for a big gain. On the very next play, Avery made a diving catch near the sideline on an out route that drew applause from the crowd. He caught another deep ball from quarterback Alex Smith and finished off the practice with an over-the-shoulder catch near the sideline in which he may or may not have managed to keep his feet inbounds.

610 has been talking a lot about camp. Sounds like Kelce, Davis, Johnson, and Bray are doing very good.

Strongside 07-29-2013 03:24 PM

Fisher is the highest profile name right now, obviously...But I think that (after attending camp in person) Kelce will be the biggest get from this year's class. Kid has some serious athletic skills. Another name to watch for that no one is mentioning, and maybe a dark horse candidate to make the roster is #65 Miguel Chavis. He's a DT and was working with the 2's. Guy is a monster (6'5", 285). I watched him beat Fisher twice and absolutely dominate in one on one pass pro drills. He was garnering a TON of coaching praise the entire practice.

Yeah, I'm starting to think Kelce might turn out to be real good. We're kind of stacked at TE. Moeaki is getting more reps than Fasano from what I've heard. Wonder if a team like NE would try to trade for him.

I'm sure she has no problem staying dry. Not even Billay's bicep could generate any moisture.

Chiefs Pantalones 07-29-2013 03:36 PM

From tweets, I've gathered Fasano has been the better TE of the bunch. He catches everything thrown his way and is a pretty good blocker. Kelce is #2 then followed by Moeaki. But that's not coaches opinions that's the media so take it for what it's worth. Especially this early in camp.
