Depends which team they play for. I'm all for Chelsea players diving and cheating if it means winning. But sadly we don't do much of that winning malarkey nowadays.

our d-line is gonna be rough for the first half of the season, Omenihu back week 7.

There is more to defense than tackles. The dude commands a lot of attention and our defense, so far, hasn’t really lost us any playoff games in the spags era. I have nothing but mad respect for what he’s done. The guy got a huge contract but he showed up to work every day, works hard, and completely transformed his diet and conditioning. This selfish behavior is uncharacteristic and I’m afraid it’s driven by bad advice that’s driven him to the point of no return.

Sign Chris Jones!

What? These two situations are not the same. KC moved the ball at will against the Eagles in the second half and there’s no telling whether they would have continued that, Toney punt return or not.

Cincinnati was staring at a 3rd and 8 with the real possibility of being able to pick up those yards on two plays. They had already converted a 3rd and 16 earlier in the drive. The Jones sack took a makeable 3rd and 8 into a must punt situation which led to the Moore PR and Mahomes scramble.

Regardless of what people think of Jones and his holdout right now, that one play altered everything and credit where credit is due for that sack by Jones.

He was already paid well for that sack. He made huge bucks last year, and has a huge contract for this year. Chiefs have made a fair offer going forward.

My guess is that we will run 11 guys out on defense on Thursday night. Not 10 and a traffic cone.

Mahomes is the franchise. All other parts are expendable.

And because of the mindset I have I actually don't want to ever see Chris Jones play for us again. Putting his paycheck and his ego first to the detriment of the team?

**** him.

Thanks for the memories but off you **** mate.

Forget Jones, we got Mahomes.

This isn't remotely accurate. Just last week Nunes refused to train with the Wolves while forcing his transfer to Manchester City. Several other players have done it this transfer window. In Euro soccer the players (of value) can pretty easily get what they want.

Players who do that are pretty much dead to the fans of the team they do it to. If they don't get their move after refusing to play then they are hated and if they do move they're still hated. Off the top of my head the only player I can remember who refused to play and wasn't hated when he came back was Tevez at Man City in 2012, and that's basically because them signing him in the first place from United was a massive piss take and stick to beat United fans with.

Yes clearly you’re correct. No way they’d pay a guy 27.5 million a year they felt that way about

Which is why he should take the deal. Nobody is paying him what Donald money.

No disagreement here. Not arguing his holdout or demands are justified. Just pointing out to those who refuse to see how impactful that sack was in getting KC to a SB.

smithandrew051 09-04-2023 06:47 PM

Does anyone think this ends with Jones signing an extension with the Chiefs?

TwistedChief 09-04-2023 06:47 PM

I know we’re all upset about Chris Jones, but maybe it’s time to turn our anger toward those who are comparing this to some situation in…soccer.

You're only as good as your last guitar solo.
