I feel really bad for Pacheco since he puts his body on the line every game he plays and gets destroyed, but after this season he's on the outside looking in.

I don't feel bad at all. He's had an amazing run. He's been a key player on this offense. He's been embraced by Mahomes and Kelce. Dude has had an amazing run.

But remember. He's a 7th round pick. A great pick, but you can see it with Hunt, this offense would be much better if we had a more dynamic running back. And like I've always said, running backs are disposable. Draft one, run the wheels off, never give a second contract unless they are truly elite, keep your roster full of development talents young backs. Chiefs can improve the offense overnight if they spend modest draft capital on the running back position.

Agree 100%. Great value pick but it's not like he's a 7th rounder playing like a 1st rounder. He played his role but we could absolutely upgrade there and he should absolutely not be getting the majority of the touches going forward.

There's still a valuable place for Pacheco on this team, but it's not as the starting RB.

I think everyone is too eager to forget about Pacheco. We were pretty satisfied with him as the starter outside of short yardage situations so I think you have to assume he’s the starter moving forward.

I think the injury is still affecting his production. He’s been like night and day since that point.

Starter doesn’t matter. There is no true #1 guy.

Veach is putting him on the hotseat this offseason, guarantee it

We'll spend a third or fourth at the worst on RB because if you're not trying to improve, you're losing

Oh, I think it's time, and it's a good RB draft.

Can Jackson throw them back into this in the second half?

Many doubts remain...

He did a great job to get them 1st and Goal at the 2, and then the Ravens forgot they had Derrick Henry.

I know, I feel the same.

I know we treat and view most of our players as pawns that we dispose of as soon as they aren't useful, but I did really like the energy and attitude Pacheco brought to the team, and that he did anything we asked of him without complaint.

Maybe so. I just think we’ve got bigger fish to fry.

If there’s a back Veach loves at BPA then sure, but if BPA happens to be a WR, LT, RG, DE, CB, S, or even a TE then I’d probably consider those resources better spent.

I could see us signing Najee Harris or someone for a reasonable contract.

This right here is the biggest difference between Hunt and Pacheco. Vision and patience.

That 4th down conversion was another good example.

If you'll recall, there wasn't really a hole there, but he kinda rolled into the contact at the LOS, spun off the pile and got his legs under himself to drive forward for the needed yard.

Pacheco just doesn't do that. He'd have put both arms around the ball, ducked his head and slammed into that pile then churned his legs in the hopes of moving 1500 lbs of human being forward. And it probably wouldn't have worked.

Hunt is just a MUCH better 'technical' RB. He just does all the small stuff right.
