yeah okay but that's a different thing than I was arguing against. His current deal is 10m a year.

I want them to do it, just to be clear.

Oh well, maybe I should be clear.

I'm absolutely assuming that he will get a new deal. Nobody is going to trade for him and take on his current contract. There will be a new deal or there won't be a trade.

Shoot, Ed Reed's sister would be better than Eric Murray.

Ed Reed's dog would be better than Eric Murray.

Army vet as well and agree.

With the it’s his right part. Don’t necessarily agree with the whole sue the league thing.

Great....you mean when he'll cost EVEN MORE because you'll have other teams to contend with.

Would it really surprise you if Seattle asked for a 1st AND an additional pick?

I’m starting to wonder if that is the case.

So where's the same level of disdain for all the Fire Sutton guys then? Even more repetitive than me and some of them even post death threats.

Admit it, the only reason you're mentioning it has nothing to do with the repetitive nature but because you've got a personal beef with me or my opinion.

Either way, I don't care. I'm going to keep posting whatever I think. It's a discussion board.

Death threats?

Towards who? You? PM me or report that stuff

Apparently there is video of him on Twitter walking into the Cowboys locker room and encouraging them to trade for him. Sounds likely that SEA will do so, and unlikely they will fulfill his wish in sending him to DAL after that.

Most definitely this

Thomas will want a bigger contract than Berry. That's a contract at around 6 yrs/$90m with a $30 million signing bonus($50m guaranteed)

That means an est. 30 million per year for our safeties, with one of them collecting his money in the tub? I doubt it.

No. Your numbers are wrong.

The Chiefs would have to sign him and give him a new multi-year deal to get under the cap.

His hit wouldn't be 10 or whatever for us, it would be less. Right? They already paid the signing bonus and other bonuses most likely.

We would be on the hook for whatever is left for this year only.

He signed that deal and it was much less than Berry was getting then also.

I understand that. I also understand that the REASON he's suing the league. I don't want to get into an argument about that as it's not likely to resolve anything.

I'm sure that any signing would include a dropping of the NFL lawsuit. I agree that it would be a hurdle.

SAUTO 09-24-2018 06:43 PM

His cap hit to us would be 8.5 million minus at least 3 games

No, it's just typical CP stupidity, posting pics of Sutton being pushed into oncoming traffic and crap. Not worth reporting, just dumb.

They pay all of his bonus. The new team picks up his base salary.

But again, any new team is going to give him a deal.
