It wasn't a bad deal. Matt was a R1 guy, but I think he was more R3 value. Edwards was selected in R5.

So, in order to flip Trent for Matt (2 rounds of value difference)... you would need to send some comp my way.

I got your 10 for my 11 (1 round of value difference)... the R18 pick evens out the rough edges of this deal. Nothing too crazy at all.

Yep you really made me mad to include the 18th though but as I said sometimes you have to gamble to win.

I like what you've done me and you seem to be working like pioli and billicheck use draft picks as currency. Some will think you are crazy dealing your whole draft away. However I look at it like this whoever got those picks has to hit about 50 percent on the picks. The factors are will the rookie get enough. PT or be on team that will utilize his talent. Me I'm eyeing about for guys in this rookie draft for my first rounder. The way people on this board over value certain players could very well fall to me.

But with the vets u know how they fit on the team and that they've allready performed at the NFL level so I personally applaud your trade.

However because of you and the rate this draft is going I won't have another pick till next week LOL!

chiefscafan 06-04-2009 01:59 PM

Olb terell Suggs
And more to come

Imagine what it's like to be a commissioner of a fantasy league with me in it...

I can figure it's kind of hard allthough you are a horrible cow fan I've allways respected your opinion on stuff. But be honest you serriously can't be happy you traded cutler are u. At the jimmy buffet concert last week I ran into a fan and he told me how orton was gonna lead you to the championship. You can't believe this can u?

bdeg 06-04-2009 02:15 PM

I'm interested in trading for any round 9 or 10 pick

I mentioned this prior and after the trade, but I wasn't happy with the Cutler trade... still not "thrilled" about it. I'm a QB fan to begin with which is why I was drawn to the Broncos the year after Elway was drafted.

Am I content right now with Orton? Yes.

Can he on his own with a team (ie - the defense) that Denver had in 2008 put up #'s like Cutler did? Probably not.

But, I don't think they need that to win... hell, the didn't win with it.

They need to fix the defense have a steady and well balanced offense (applaud the Moreno pick and the depth there), and they can do great things .. as a team.

Cutler is great, but he needs WRs in CHI... if they're expecting his 2008 #'s with that offense, I think they're smoking crack.

Your offense is boom or bust right now. The only proven one on your O is Chris Johnson and he's only been playing for a year. You could be great.....you could tank.

I have #10 and #12 in R9... really diggin' those picks though, so it may cost your entire rookie draft. LMAO
