When you have to shovel your porch, driveway, and walkway half a dozen times and still get absolutely nowhere, you'll rethink your wish.

It's one thing to shovel once, but it's another thing to have to go outside and shovel every couple of hours just to keep up with the storm. Otherwise, if you don't, then you have to shovel two feet of snow at once and that's no easy task.

It took me and my future FIL around two hours to shovel their driveway and sidewalk this morning. I'm not entirely sure what we accomplished, though, since the streets are still buried under 2.5' of snow.

Heh. Just wait until you get your driveway totally cleared and the plows come by and erect a wall of hard packed icy snow between your cleared driveway and the street. Good times!

The deepest snow photos look like Truckee, CA for most of the winter. Or better yet, Serene Lakes, CA...it is freaky how much snow they get and they get no pub about it.

I wonder if Rainman still has to shovel his roof. He used to bitch about it.

Just look for the guy laying on the sidewalk next to the frozen chunk of chicken soup.

I'm not used to all this strange and foreign language that you all are speaking. "Shoveling snow?" "Big Drifts?" "Roads closed due to weather?" Huh? :)

Yep. There's no point in shoveling your sidewalk until the plows come through.

I bet you'll be wishing for snow rather than running from falling bricks from buildings during earthquakes :)
