Milkman, you are right female spanish words end in an "a" and male words end in an "o" not in every single case but most. So he should of said No hablo, for it to be the male form.

FYI, NOUNS take on gender, not verbs.

Hablar is a verb.

I speak = Yo hablo.
You speak = Tu hablas.
He/she/it speaks = el/ella/Usted HABLA.

I don't speak much Spanish, but I know this to be true.

2008 is when I really started to follow the draft closely. Looking at that list, it definitely shows.
