Actually, the wife and I stayed at a Bed and Breakfast in Dennison. We did a little driving tour of all the little towns around there, it was a really relaxing weekend. My work brings me to Des Moines from time to time. Des Moines seems OK, but it has its sucktastic qualities as well.

Maybe not for everyone, but it's safe, has great people, and one of the top 3 public education systems

...'course, they did just raise the cigarrette tax a buck a pack...

Have you ever been to Dubuque? Much shittier. Sioux City only smells because of the stockyards downtown. If Council Bluffs was not by Omaha, that would be a very bad place.
