Yeah, KU is looking better than anyone thought. I still say KU may lose at Texas A&M, but predicting a 93-10 loss was moronic. Also, do you still see KU losing to the Cornhuskers? :) I still think KU wins that one.

Let's not get carried away. The offense gave up a bunch of sacks last night, Todd Reesing's completion percentage was atrocious, and the receivers had the dropsies come back in full force.

We're going to have to play a hell of a lot better than we did last night if we want to win in Manhattan, no matter how bad KSU may be.

Last I checked, the Cornhuskers don't play in Manhattan, KS.

Gee, really? Obviously, the two statements weren't related.

The first true benchmark of the season will happen in Manhattan, and if the Hawks play like they did last night, that one will be a struggle. As bad as they may be, KSU is still better than Toledo, and Mangino's road record is absolutely atrocious. Without being able to win that game, nothing else the rest of the season is certain, IMO. Certainly not Nebraska.

I'm sorry, but what indicators do you have that KSU is bad? I think the KSU-KU will be a good game, but believe KSU will win by 7-14.

Kansas is currently has the #1 scoring defense in the country, the #4 scoring offense in the country, and is #1 in SCORING MARGIN by a landslide. K-State is in for a let down after a big win.

KU 27
K-State 14

haha, you never know. Every game in is winnable. I still think 9-3 is a good possibility with having a shot at 10-2. KU just needs to prove that they can win road games, and not piss it down their leg in the last few minutes on the road.

ya I'm looking forward to seeing how this season pans out now that we will face some real competition

I am interested to see how KU's pass defense will hold up. Last year we were dead last in pass defense. This year we are 3rd in the country. I know we have been playing patsies but that is already an improvement regardless of who you are playing.

This game will either shut me up or get me ranting even more about the hawks.

It's an honest mistake. Afterall, the guy has "all-american" written all over him instead of his name.

K-State is 22nd in the nation in pass defense, 11th in rushing defense, and 13th in overall defense.

Plus we've played teams with a pulse.

I think if you guys come out of Manhattan with a win, you'll have every right to boast. Right now you are paper tigers.
