Anyone that has a clue can see that most of their success is due to Beasley and that they didn't finish strong (only 2 of the last 7 IIRC). His suggestion that they don't belong in to me is just assinine.

That is not your average 6 seed.

According to ESPN's Joe Lunardi, the Big 12 gets 6 teams in the NCAA tourney.

As of earlier today, he has:

Kansas #2 South
Texas #2 West
Oklahoma #7 East
Texas A&M #8 South
Kansas St. #9 Midwest
Baylor #11 Midwest

Plus KSU went 22-11 last year and got the NIT. They are 20-11 this year. Beasley will get them in probably.

Thank god we only have to hear the Beasley hype for one year.

Tennessee wwent down to Arkansas, will that move KU to the 31 in the Midwest with a win over Texas tomorrow?

Methinks, yes.

It's funny that they had a better record last year without him.

But they didn't have half of the national attention, which COULD (not a certainty) lead to better recruiting classes and thereby help the program in the long run.

It certainly can't hurt.

The bigger difference is the Big 12 is much stronger this year than last year. Kansas State will most definitely get in. They got 3rd in the Big 12 and they went 10-6. It has nothing to do with Michael Beasley.
