At this point we should still draft that franchise QB (if available) in the 1st.

Nothing wrong with having two good QBs if Thigpen can keep it up.

At least until Thiggy has a bad game.

Anyone who wants to blame Thigpen for this loss obviously was focusing completely on him and nothing else. These people are wanting him to fail so badly that they overlook the special teams breakdown, Charles's fumble, the lack of a pass rush (for the 8th consecutive week), the drops by Bowe and Gonzalez, the inexplicable OPI call that Gonzo seems to get twice a season, and the defense's inability to, yet again, make a stop when they need to in spite of four freakin' turnovers.

This loss was a complete team effort.

this thread makes me almost hate gochiefs...I'm pretty much done sticking up for that guy.

Sorry but it would be nice if he showed up in the second half. Two weeks in a row he disappears after the break.

He seals the game with the pass to Gonzalez.

The one that Gonzalez needed a rocket up his ass to catch, you mean?

I knew you'd point to that. Doesn't matter though; the game would have been over and you'd still talk about how the Chiefs won in spite of Thigpen.

Lemme ask you this: are you really blaming the loss on him? I mean, squarely on him? Even mostly on him?

KcMizzou 11-02-2008 04:47 PM

Nobody ever... EVAR expected Thiggy to amount to anything.

He's already exceeded all of our expectations. Everything he's done well... and will do well... is a bonus.

You never know, he could turn out to be a stud. He could also fall back and become exactly what we expected.

Football's weird like that.

He's all we've got... so there's no sense in not getting behind the guy and seeing what happens. He's already shown more than Croyle ever did.

No, definitely not. I don't think he's good enough to be a starter though.

I agree with that. We still need to draft the best QB we can get... first pick.

Pasta Little Brioni 11-02-2008 04:51 PM

The team put up 27 against one of the better defenses in the NFL. Most people were predicting we wouldn't score a TD. I'd say Thiggy played a solid game given the opponent. Tampa made the right adjustments in the 2nd half on D. A couple drops hurt as well as the game sealer to Tony taken away by the penalty.

Sorry dude but what do you really know?

One minute you love Herm, the next minute he's an idiot.
Blah blah blah about Croyle, and then Thigpen isn't shit.
Devard Darling.

You seem to choose the minority side on any Chiefs related topic and just pound away at it just so you can start some controversy and get attention.

When I was backing Huard it was because I wanted to see the Chiefs win and I thought he was a better option for that team than Green was...I didn't do it to rile people up. All you try to do is rile everyone up and it is ANNOYING.
