The 49ers need help at many positions.

They would love to correct the error of selecting Alex Smith #1 overall, but both top QBs are already off the board.

Help at DE, LB and CB is needed. They already have Patrick Willis and Takeo Spikes (although aging) in the middle and Manny Lawson as one of their outside rush backers. They need a rush backer on the opposite side. They also must address the CB position.

Brian Orakpo is available to fill in at the rush backer spot and he could also play some downs/packages at DE. Mike Jenkins can be their franchise CB of the future, but there are questions about his speed and some project him more as a safety in the NFL.

With the 10th pick of the 2009 CP Mock Draft, the San Francisco 49ers select Brian Orakpo, DE/OLB, Texas.
