I don't care for any of those bands on your list. And considering that "This Decade" probably includes the year 2000, I'd choose the following bands, in no particular order:

A Perfect Circle
Alterbridge
Audioslave
Muse

That all being said, I think the best band of this decade is easily The Darkness.

We signed that band when I was working in music publishing back in like 2002, before their record was released. The lead singer came into our offices and premiered their first video, long before it was released.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious and brilliant. The rest of the management team didn't get it at all (which should be of no surprise because they didn't get Eminem at first either, until the money started flowing).

I think they may have "broken even" but they didn't make any money for our company. And before you knew it, they broke up.

And since Simply Red mentioned the Velvet Underground, I'll say that the Raveonettes are a VU-influenced band of the 2000s who are worth a listen. Particularly their Chain Gang of Love CD and their Whip It On EP. They are also a 2 person band.

Signed is one thing. At least SOAD and QOTSA have put out good music this decade.

NKOTB?

But if you're looking for a 14-song set of Disturbed, they've got you covered.

Ain't this the truth.

Audioslave is cool until they start playing RATM material. Then it just gets surreal and bad. Oh so very bad.

Your list certainly is better.

How could anyone not get the Darkness? I see how it wouldn't make sense if you never heard Queen or T-Rex...But that was such an obvious funny and catchy song.

I still don't get Eminem however...I didn't make any money off of him. Word!

Now I don't have a problem w/ 3 of those bands. But don't you think that list is depressing as 3 out of 4 are basically fall outs of bands from the 90's or considered a "side project." Much to Billy Howerdel's chagrin?
