Tony G wasnt a good blocker coming out of college, never really got good at it til DV came here. Then he got a lot better at it.

You can teach blocking.

You're describing Jared Cook now.

Heyward-Bay's gonna be good, but man do I want Crabtree.

Yeah, I know the Chiefs need toys for their 3-4 defense. I’d shop for Cassel first.
I probably agree with this statement more than anything in this article.

If we dont take Coffman I would be very happy with this selection as well.

As long as people realize Ingram is a receiving TE. He isn't a good blocker and doesn't have a blocking TE frame. He runs very good routes, has excellent hands, good speed for a TE and is extremely athletic (was recruited as a QB and played on Florida's BBall team). Hopefully he's fully recovered and healthy.

Coffman was a badass in college and I will enjoy that, the track record for Mizzou players hasn't been blazing so far in the pro's but I have no doubt he will work hard. I have my doubts about him being good in the pro's because he will actually have to fire out in 3 point stance and route run as a TE and not as a stand up slot player

And that is exactly why I want him on our team. I dont want a great blocker as our starting TE. He can be good, sure. But I want someone who can make the middle of the field his. Ingram might be able to do that.

I can think of one really, really good NFL TE from Mizzou.

I got to watch Cook a few times and he was really good. I would love for the Chiefs to trade Tony to Atlanta IF they could get Cook with their 3rd round pick. The Chiefs would have two young TEs. And both would be pretty talented.

Coffman looks like he has pretty good hands but he looks too much like Cottam to me, except Cottam is bigger and faster. Cottam didn't catch as many balls in college bc of injuries but he did show that he has pretty good hands. Cottam does have big time potential. Didn't he run like a 4.7 or something. That's really fast for 6'7" 270.

I don't see us picking a TE this year unless we trade Gonzo. How many TEs do you want on the roster??? And most of the the time, the 3rd TE has to be able to be a back up fullback.

Jeff George will be heartbroken.... Fatlock has a new lover.

I really think Crabtree is going to be a legit #1 WR...but those videos of Cook you posted makes him look like a serious badass.

The incredibly small fraction of respect I had for Whitlock as a writer has officially left the building.

:shake:

I am surprised you had any, I sure don't.
