AJ didn't take Brees. Something I have noted over and over. So it wasn't HIS QB. Which is why he had no qualms about letting him go so easily.

I seem to remember Brees being somewhat questionable about his shoulder issues at the time.

Oh, that's right, they didn't.

Bowe had 13, and every other player on the team had 4 or less.

With Tyler Thigpen and Damon Huard delivering the ball.

This year, we have 3 players with 9 or more, and two of those players (Wade, Bowe) missed multiple games.

JFC.... you had receivers with drop problems before Cassel got here. Bowe having 13 is just one example. Are you going to claim that Bradley had no issues? How about Chambers? Are you going to blame Cassel because a rookie TE and Cottam struggle catching the ball, too? I mean, you do realize that Gonzalez is in Atlanta, right?

Milkman frequently has great insight, but occasionally gets caught up in the bashing on occasion and torpedoes his general knowledge by getting overly emotional.

You're just a clown.

Chambers did have quite a few drops for KC last season. :)

Can you read?

We DIDN'T have drop issues before Cassel got here - with the exception of Bowe.

No one else on the roster had more than 4 last year. 4 drops over a 16 game season is NOTHING.

And nowhere did I blame Cassel for the drops. I'm simply responding to your dumbass statement that this team had drops issues prior to Cassel becoming the QB.

That happened at the end of Brees GOOD season. Rivers had already been taken at that point.

And the receivers were dropping passes long before Cassel was the man throwing them the football
No mention of it specifically being in K.C.

You really refuse to learn a damned thing, don't you? How many games did all the "other" receivers play for K.C. last season, how many catches did they have there, how many passes were thrown to them, etc...?

This shouldn't be as difficult as rocket science, even for you.

Note on Cottam, for example, from draft analysis:

Quote:

Needs to improve concentration, and tends to look up the defender before making the catch, resulting in a few drops of easy throws...With his size and arm reach, he should be catching more contested balls than he has, as he doesn't always jump and adjust to take the ball away from the defender, despite having the strength to do so.

On Chris Chambers, while still in Miami:

Quote:

I cannot account for the number of dropped passes which last year was pushing double-digits. But, otherwise, Chambers is a solid player who can really be a fine player in the right system with the right QB.

This stuff isn't new.

.

Chambers amount of drops had already been documented by PFT before he was even released I believe. Either way, Chambers is very well known for making spectacular catches and dropping lots of easy passes.

RustShack 01-01-2010 03:12 PM

Chambers has been our most consistent receiver...

Sweet Dick Willy 01-01-2010 03:12 PM

That boy Cassel got time to plant collard greens in the backfield, and he STILL got more suck than Hoover vacuum.

Some fun fan posts about Bobby Wade, posted this summer:

Maybe bobby should go back to dropping passes and punts

Wow. I never, ever heard Paul Allen before, but I think someone needs to call a doctor, so his nose can be surgically removed from that over-rated, mediocre, wide receiver who drops more balls than a urologist with sweaty palms.

I do have a followup question. Did Bobby Wade immediately drop the microphone or did he wait until the intern tossed him a bagel?

But, yeah... just point to Cassel

We're on a record pace for the number of dropped passes in a season......but yeah it's all because Cassel can't read a defense.

This board is so filled with stupid sometimes it hurts.
