any "smart" NFL fan...which I'm not sure hamas is...

would know that the NFC was a huge toss up...no "expert" had any idea what was going to happen...

me and OTWP have been 100% wrong predicting the NFC playoff picture and he's your boy

what can I say?

Tony Romo hasn't had a great game...that's pretty easy to see...

But he didn't really have a chance, either.

Just like Tom Brady.

I'm pretty sure he shouldn't be turning it over 3 times, the 2 early fumbles killed his team.

Hootie 01-17-2010 02:38 PM

and don't try and bullshit me hamas...you argue just to argue...

you tried arguing that a pick 6 was more devastating than a season ending interception on a drive that could have landed your team in the super bowl...

and then you tried backing up your claim with the fact that one led to points while the other one didn't...

According to you, Tom Brady cost his team the game by choking last week..

Now, he didn't have a chance.

wow in comes the guy who tried saying Carson Palmer was an MVP candidate! ROFL

Romo has played a bad game just like the rest of his team!

If Romo and Peyton Manning lose, it's a choke job no matter what...

I had milkman referencing the two playoff losses to the Chargers the past two seasons and he was trying to pin those on Peyton Manning...

I get it...

Peyton and Tony choke...

Tom Brady's team lets him down.

you're saying Tom Brady faced more pressure than Tony Romo?

I'd say it's pretty equivalent.

'Hamas' Jenkins 01-17-2010 02:42 PM

There's a difference between losing when your QB has a mediocre game, a touchdown a pick, and an unimpressive completion %, and when your QB repeatedly puts the ball on the turf, throws picks deep in his own territory, and takes sacks that put the team out of FG range.

If it's equivalent, then why did you claim Brady choked and Romo just had a bad day and played for an inferior team?

If you want my honest stance...it's pretty simple...

I think the QB choke is a complete myth.

A lot of people talk about Tony Romo as a choker and reference his playoff loss to the Giants in 2007.

He played a HELL of a game against the Giants that year and single-handedly gave them a chance to win that game...his teammates let him down (Patrick Crayton)...yet people say he choked that game simply because he's Tony Romo.

Peyton Manning is clearly better than Tom Brady...always has been and always will be...yet people use the argument that he's a playoff choker to try and promote Tom Brady (since they have nothing else)...

So any time Tom Brady loses I turn the table and call him a choker and everyone goes hog wild since Tom Brady is a proven winner and isn't capable of choking.

Hootie 01-17-2010 02:48 PM

I lurked the whole Colts thread yesterday and especially loved the way hamas and OTWP were trying their very hardest to, without saying it, paint Peyton Manning as a huge choke artist who merely caught all the breaks.

It was fascinating.

That's some pretty impressive revisionist history.

"It was obviously just tongue in cheek!"

Point to one post where I did this.

Was I mocking you in saying that he caused those fumbles that their defense did? Yeah.

Did I in any way allude that he's a choker? Nope.

Was I lampooning your fanboi reactions? Definitely.

Reading comprehension > Golden Showers.

if we're going to paint every playoff loss as a choke...I'm going to reference Tom Brady...plain and simple.

He threw 1 whole TD pass in the entire 2001 postseason.

The guy is just so overrated it sickens me.

how can anyone watch him and watch peyton manning and come to the conclusion that Tom Brady is better?

That is insane.
