Prick? Check. Cancer? Check. But he's got familiarity with Cassel and our NE-ish system and could pay dividends immediately. With a true deep threat who can easily adjust to Cassel's shitty downfield throws and our running game, we instantly become a force on offense and honest-to-God contenders.

If we can find a way, we have to do it.

With Moss it's me me me. Don't think you guys need this kind of player. You're young, talented and in 1st place. Why throw a piece of bad meat into an otherwise good stew.

It's worked before...

I really don't think we have much of a chance in the playoffs anyway so why not bring him in? At least he has something to play for here, in a winning team.

Thig Lyfe 11-01-2010 01:27 PM

Childress is the stupidest mother****er to ever coach in the NFL. But at least he's got his looks.

dirk digler 11-01-2010 01:28 PM

We should put in a claim but we won't get him.

DJ's left nut 11-01-2010 01:28 PM

I hate anyone that doesn't want to sign him.

It won't happen because I doubt he's at all interested in catching ducks from Cassel again.

That said, I simply don't see how you wouldn't bring him in. He was a pretty solid citizen in NE for several seasons when placed in a steady environment with an assertive, confident head coach. I see no reason that he wouldn't be a similar player in a similar situation here in KC.

He'd wear out his welcome in a season or two, but he'd be gold for this year and next, IMO.

With the piles of steaming horseshit we currently line up at WR....well, like I said - I hate you if you don't think bringing him in would be worth the trouble.

If he ends up in San Diego that would suck massive balls. Rivers to Moss? Shit, I don't even want to think about it.

Dave Lane 11-01-2010 01:31 PM

Shit If Haley can get him motivated I'd be all over it. With the sad sack WR we have other than Bowe he'd be awesome. OK now reality kicks in and he's a POS that is unlikely to change his spots so we should pass but damn across from Bowe if he was motivated furgetaboutit!

And then they get Jackson back.

3 WR set.

Moss - Jackson - Floyd. Those three with Gates at TE. ****.

At least when he was in minnesota he wasn't in the AFC West

Beef Supreme 11-01-2010 01:33 PM

Do not want the media circus that follows him.
Do not want the "me first" attitude.
Do not want a cancer in the locker room.

Do not want.

THIS!

I mean mother****ing this!

How can anyone just disregard the possibility of picking up one of the 3 most talented WRs of all time (and possibly the best deep threat of all time) for nothing in a season where we're a downfield threat away from being legitimately dangerous?

It just blows my mind how risk-averse some people are or how pollyannaish they can be.

Shaun Smith's rep in the league was every bit as bad, if not worse, than Moss's and he's been a God-sent for us. Smith was seen as an absolute cancer, a QB punching dicksock. He stuff's the run for us a few times and now "he's our lunatic ball-grabber..."

Winning cures all. Bring Moss in and we can legitimately start considering post-season possibilities.

Or we can just keep sending Terrance Copper out there with Chris Chambers.

Shit... Now I'm nervous he'll end up in SD or Denver...

hmm....

Sofa King 11-01-2010 01:46 PM

i hope the bills claim him before an AFC West Team does.
