Wow... just had a chance to watch Whitlock's meltdown on Inside the NFL... that has to be one of the most pathetic public displays he's ever had.

First Whitlock claimed that Pioli only wants players from "traditional" "two-parent households", then when pressed on that he back-tracked to say "households with a strong male role model", then when pressed on that back-tracked again to say "players who aren't from the hip-hop culture".

I have been a fan of Whitlock's work when he was at the KC Star calling out Dictator Carl... but his Inside the NFL showing was pathetic.

Posted about it somewhere.. We were at a Hooters bikini competition because a friend was in it.. He came acting all badass and no one paid him attention or knew who he was when he mentioned what he did.. I was just laughing at him..

Damn. My distaste for Whitlock has peaked to heretofore unparalleled levels.

He should thank his lucky stars that the Public Figure Doctrine requires "actual malice". Undoubtedly that's why he prefaces his libel with the whole "I like Todd Haley personally" deal. Some mullethead is going to kick his ass, though.

I'm one of Whitlock's bigger critics, but aside from his repeating all the Haley blather, I thought the majority of the first 10 minutes was good TV. Great discussion. Jason wasn't a tool. And the guys were over-reacting a bit to Jason's rather measured remarks. Which were ultimately a (slight) misrepresentation of what Pioli believes.

Mike Lombardi added a lot. I loved learning that the Pats try to trade down in the draft to ensure that they don't have a rookie being the highest paid player on the team.

Loved the "Sapp going to the Raiders" crack! :)

To go on national television and claim that Haley is a fraud is bush-league, in my view.

Whitlock is an asshole. I do not like me some Whitlock.
