You wouldnt think its stupid if Jamaals leg snapped like a piece of celery in the first game of the year.

I will agree that the Madden curse was real for several years. But curses are made to be broken. And Larry Fitzgerald and Drew Brees have broken it, among others.

JC is gone, may the "curse" live on

He lost 40% to 60%

Spott 04-11-2011 01:37 PM

Oh well. The Chiefs already have enough curses.

THIS!!!

****ing Peyton Hillis beat Aaron Rodgers and it wasn't even close. I would assume Vick will beat him in the finals, but who knows what the **** is happening with this vote. Having a white Cleveland Browns running back on the cover of Madden would be pretty hilarious.

It'll bring Al Sharpton to Gamestop too.

Madden cover fail

bowener 04-21-2011 05:03 PM

The Browns may finally win something!

And then see their star player blow his knee out in preseason warmups.

EA was moronic to do this. Now they are screwed either way. They should have had a smaller field of players that were all acceptable to them. Now they have a good but not great runningback for a shitty team, or they have a convicted dog fighter.

They could have easily left Vick off the list of candidates since he has already been on the cover. The PR fallout from him winning this will likely be a shitstorm for EA.

Agreed.

Its not like a ton of people have access to the votes. They could bullshit the numbers if they really wanted.

Not really. Aside from a few nutjobs, most people have put Vicks dogfighting in the past. Shit, after the Giants game comeback, he gained a LOT of fans. I would think the PR fallout from Hillis winning would be greater than if Vick won.

Buck 04-27-2011 02:42 PM

They are about to announce who won the cover on ESPN 2. 14 minutes. Both Hillis and Vick are there.
