Haven't done much of any fast food for the last couple of decades but we used to go to the one in Grandview back in the early to mid 70's. We always called it "Junk in the box" and only went there cause it was the only drive through open in the middle of the night.
I think just about all of them closed in the KC area way back then and I thought for a long time they went out of business. But that was a long time ago....... |
Went there a few hours ago. It was like going to Gates because the employees were big black ladies who were very loud. I couldn't see the menu very well so I just ordered the number 1. It was ok but expensive. My first impression of that place is meh.

Upon close examination of the term "fast food".. "Fast" is a stretch. "Food" is an outright lie.

their double chicken sandwhich looked gross on the commercials. Gross on the commercials. I can only imagine how shitty they are in real life. I never go to hardees, but all their shit looks like awesomeness

The one off 103rd and Metcalf is open now and I went by there tonight after work because I haven't eaten at a Jack in the Box in over five years. So they messed up my order and worse yet I was so tired that I didnt notice till I got home which was 15 minutes away. I ate the food and it was okay, but I would've loved to have my ultimate double bacon cheeseburger and curly fries. I will say that their mini churros are so fuggin good.

You have to say "Yumbo Yack" if the workers are Mexican.

Something to think about: E-Coli exists in American beef. It's not rigorously tested for. If your hamburger patty isn't cooked properly by being held in a specific temperature range for a period of time then that E-Coli will be passes on to you. The next time you go into a fast food store, take a good look at the people who are making your food, and handling it as well.
See that sixteen year old boy with all the pimples cooking your burger? He doesn't even wash his hands after he jacks off. And he's been working near the blonde girl in drive thru all shift. She didn't have any clean panties this morning so she didn't wear any. Did he just come back from the bathroom? See that middle aged guy "cleaning" the floor in the lobby? What do you think he has to live for? He's almost fifty and look at what he does for a paycheck. Do you think he gives a damn if that mop just got out of the toilet five minutes ago? See the hot girl taking orders at the counter? She's got twelve different STD's plus whatever she's catching from handling money all day. She just filled your little bag of french fries. Without washing or sanitizing her hands. Take a look at the manager who just handed you your completed meal. Do they look a bit frazzled? Unkempt? Or is it the gigantically obese shift leader this time? How many things do you think are going through their heads right now? Do they look like they're on top of things or do their eyes silently scream, "Shoot me..."? What are the chances that they really completed their food safety audit this hour? Or this morning? Or at all? Ever? You still don't care if your hamburger patty was cooked all the way because that's how you do it at home? By the way, food borne pathogens can be carried by vegetables as well. Like lettuce, spinach or green onions. |
This is the only phrase you'll ever need: "I'd like 10 tacos, please."
You can always repeat the phrase multiple times if you're hungrier than normal. |
I will never foresake Texas Tom's.

had it last night for the first time in about 13 yrs.
it was ok, I suppose. a bit heavy, of course I got the ultimate cheeseburger thing etc. disappointed in their value menu cheeseburger (Wendy's doublestacks and BKs double cheese are way better). I'd go there every once in a while; wouldn't do the ultimate cheeseburger thing again....chicken sammiches looked kind of good. |
Just went to Arby's. The food tasted great. The prices were reasonable. The clown is dead to me.
