any 'rumor' that mentions 'Bill Cowher, Jon Gruden and Kirk Ferentz' isn't a rumor, it's a repost of a repost..

lol why prep stanzi if u wanna draft luck make no sense btw people luck is no sure thing he has david carr written all over him,so what being a standout against low level schools makes u nfl ready.......i think not

Well I'll tell you.

We'll listen to these rumors all year through a dismal season. At the end of this season, Haley will be fired and Cassel will either be cut or will redo his contract. The Chiefs have the number 1 pick in the draft, trade down to #3 and take the 5th rated Left OT.

Or win enough games to drop to the sixth pick and take Justin Blackmon because once again it's not Cassel it's the players, or lack thereof, around him.

That would be exactly why you would prep Stanzi is because no rookie QB is a sure thing. We can double our odds by letting Stanzi and Luck battle it out. We are in stand still waiting for the real guy mode every single minute that Cassel plays.

buy low sell high, GB made their franchise that way in the 90's, which is a big reason why Favre never missed a game because of Brunell was in the wings. Which is why it's good to be two deep at QB position

Agreed. If we decide to give up on Haley then the last thing I want is another retread. We had the right idea of getting a young first time HC. Haley is still in the wait and see period of his tenure here and I think last season should have bought him some points and the mess with the lockout should have as well but this team right now is looking worse than even our 2008 team and nothing that bad can be allowed to survive.

Watching the post game presser now. Haley says he's going to make "big changes this week" and I really think he's going to tell Cassel to siddown.

That kind of thinking will lead to a headache because its not going to happen this soon. His big change will probably be taking over play calling and having the same success as Muir because they are both idiots.

Cassel wont be benched until after the BYE.
