OH and let's not forget home town hero.. Chris Tabor!

BigRock 11-29-2011 02:00 AM

There are only 4 scenarios.

1) Haley stays.
1) Haley's fired, replaced by Josh McDaniels.
2) Haley's fired, some team comes sniffing around Romeo, he gets promoted to HC, maybe McDaniels is hired as assistant head coach or some shit.
3) Haley's fired, replaced by some random geek from the Patriots tree whose first duty each morning will be to make Pioli breakfast.

Anything else involves Pioli telling Clark "I know you want the team to have stability and everything, but you see, Mr. Hunt, I am a giant ****up and we need to start over."

Bring the hammer down.

Exactly what I was thinking.

5) Haley stays

A few items;

1) No coach that has taken won a Super Bowl with one team has ever gone to another team and won a Super Bowl with the second team. Parcells won two with the Giants and only made to one Super Bowl with the Pats. Consider that before hoping for a retread (John Gruden & Bill Cowher) head coach.

2) Having lived in Nashville for the past 8 years has given me some perspective on Jeff Fisher. People we do not want him as our coach. Other than the fact that he is Marty 2.0, he won't play certian player unless they can do everything. For example, Fisher would only play Jarred Cook on occasion and now that Fisher is gone Cook is quietly turning into a valuable weapon in the mold of Tony G. Seriously, Fisher is hot garbage and should be avoided like the plauge.

I'll take Andy Reid

durtyrute 11-29-2011 08:03 AM

We don't need a coach, we need an OC

BoneKrusher 11-29-2011 08:20 AM

Goldie Hawn
She's not on your list but i thought she did an awesome job with the Wild Cats.

BigRichard 11-29-2011 08:47 AM

I hear Jack Del Rio will be available.

Nightfyre's off-season prediction #1:
1) Haley will stay
2) Bill Muir will be fired as OC, Zorn will be promoted to his position
3) Haley will call the plays on game-day
4) Haley will delegate offensive gameplanning to Zorn and his QB. However, he will still have a hand in the process.

What everyone fails to realize, imo, is that Haley is doing his job as head coach. Yes, he makes questionable game management decisions, but this is a skill he can develop over time.
A head coaches job is to provide motivation, provide oversight over the program, and take the heat for everyone in the organization. He is, in my opinion, effectively accomplishing these objectives.
The offensive gameplanning is the responsibility of the offensive coordinator and Muir should pay for his ineptitude with his job. However, Haley and Zorn seem to get along very well and seem like-minded. Zorn will make an excellent OC/QB coach for Haley, imo.

I agree with this. I have a feeling that this is what is going to end happening

Speaking of Herm Edwards, I see no bad scenario for him taking the UCLA job.
