Something more than a track star... Don't get sensitive, I like the kid, just saying he needs work... His routes (other than go routes) looked mediocre, but he looks real good in 1 on 1's in thud drills..

You draft him and thank the draft Gods that he fell.

I'd JIMP at the chance to take Adams in the 2nd. Our O-line would be set for a long time, IMO.

Ohio State offensive tackle Mike Adams is a potential first-round pick but he is very inconsistent. He can look great and terrible in back-to-back plays. His first rep was a loss as Virginia defensive end Cam Johnson blew by him on a speed rush. Penn State defensive Jack Crawford did the same thing. Adams rebounded to get some wins including a rush that he stopped cold from Johnson. Adams is a more advanced run blocker than pass blocker entering the next level.

Just saw this on Walterfootball.

It sounds like the Browns are interested with one of their first round picks. Maybe maybe not.

Sounds like he would be a perfect RT. If he fell into the second even better. Would be good for the Browns to pair with Joe Thomas.

If he was he'd be going #1 instead of Luck.

I've simply said I'd like the Chiefs to go after Cousins because of 2 reasons.

1) The Chiefs aren't drafting a QB in the first round.
2) Cousins is not going to be drafted in the first round. He might not even be drafted on day 2.

The only thing you can come up with against him is "Cassel." Too bad anyone with credibility has said the opposite.

You're wrong. While he throws a better ball than Cassel, he does have a long delivery. Not only is that a problem with DB's jumping routes, but if the pocket collapses around him, he'll be less likely to get a quick pass off and if he tries, very likely a dlineman gets a strip from behind.

Other than that, Tox is right about his footwork too.

Stop being an idiot. Tenacity is not going to win you arguments, so stop trying. Detox never said he IS Cassel. Just pointed out that he has a very similar delivery. Longer, but a little more compact from top to bottom. Also quicker are speed when coming forward. Still though, he has that "shot put" delivery.

If he keeps on impressing like he is he's going to be the Dalton/Kaepernick of 2012.

Both of those guys were in the 2nd day group but they emerged as the best out of the group and went early.

The guy is benefiting in these reports b/c everyone else around him sucks badly by comparison. He's not terrible, but he's not Dalton either. Hell, he's not even Stanzi.

I think we've got a RT...

Chiefnj2 01-25-2012 06:55 AM

I don't see the long delivery people are talking about with Cousins.

Rainey isn't a track star. Demps is and he's decided to focus on track instead of the NFL.

I'm not being sensitive, I was truly asking what you'd develop him into? Specifically for the Chiefs, I don't see a fit. He'd fill the exact role that McCluster occupies.

We're basically over here arguing about who is the better 4th round prospect. I was hoping Lindley would take the bull by the horns since he has a much more natural arm and throwing motion. He also keeps his feet under him when throwing darts.

But, by the sound of it, it seems that he's doing himself no favors. His accuracy has been all over the place this past season and he's apparently done nothing to fix that.

Outside of the top 2, and possibly Tannehill if you're on board that train, there is nothing exciting about this year's group of QB's.

They all have their flaws and they're pretty serious flaws.

O.city 01-25-2012 12:31 PM

Mims probably has that RT spot on lock down, so we can move on. I forgot about that.

Titty Meat 01-25-2012 12:45 PM

What did Mims ever do to show he's a right tackle in the league?
