My dad came home with tickets to a football game. Since it was 1963, I was pretty excited we'd be going to see KU play. Imagine my disappointment when he told me the tickets were to see the new team, the Chiefs. Stuff happens.

I grew up near KC and they were the local football team. They still are in fact.

haha I get that question a lot since im a San Diego native.
My love for the Chiefs started because of my hate for some old, fat hepatitis carrying yellow bitch. I was maybe 8 years old-ish, can't remember. Never really paid attention to football or anything and didn't even know the Chargers existed. Anyhow she was a big 9ers fan and it was the year that Montana joined the Chiefs and played against the 9ers. She was all bitchy and mad because Montana was Chief blah blah blah. I watched and rooted for the Chiefs because I hated her. Chiefs kicked their ass and a new fan was born. |
Actually, in all honesty, it began when my brother took me and my middle brother.
We sat in the upper deck, in the dead of winter. No one was at the game, so I suspect I was probably around 7 or so – which would’ve been 1984-ish. I remember we moved completely around the upper deck to stay in the sun. don’t remember much else that day, but I do remember that. |

Born and raised in KC. My whole family are Chiefs fans. I don't get how anyone can root for any team besides their hometown team. It's like cheating on your wife.
|
Local team so I followed them.
