FYI, the excuse given for why Kolb couldn't secure the starting spot in Philly was that he got injured. TWICE.
Well guess what? He has the SAME PROBLEM in Arizona. A QB that can't stay healthy cannot be, BY DEFINITION, a franchise QB. So let's throw out Kolb. |

So there's that. |

All of this trade back talk is ridiculous.
NOBODY is going to trade up to #1 for a Tackle. Or a Guard. Or a corner. NOBODY. None of those players is a game changer, and you don't trade up to the #1 spot for anything less. A QB is a game changer. If you don't have one, you're screwed. We don't. If Dorsey and Reid like Geno, they'll take him at #1. I hope they do, I hope we can go forward with our very own #1 guy and I hope he becomes the franchise QB we've always wanted. But I don't know. It may be a 2nd rounder. |
Reids next best QB while in Philly was Vick. oh yea, hes a former #1 pick.
|
I would counter and say that there isn't anyone worth the #1 pick in this draft.
Warmack? You don't take a guard #1 no matter what. I wouldn't even take Will Shields #1. Jones? nope (stenosis?) Joeckel? Maybe ... if you think he is a Jonathan Ogden level type LT Milliner? A cornerback better be able to shit gold to be taken #1 and i heard that Milliner needs surgery. In a draft with no obvious gold star prospects the value of the position takes on more weight. Quarterback is the most valuable position in the NFL. So if you are going to 'reach' for a player at #1 then you reach for a QB. jmo |

Combined numbers for QB starts under Andy Reid NOT named Donovan McNabb: 38-44 record (.463) 55% completion percentage 112 TD's 94 INT's 70 QBR. And those numbers are inflated due to Vick, who was a #1 overall pick. |
