This is where I'm at with Butler. I'm past being mad at him. I think our expectations for him are too high, and probably always have been because this teams lack of stars.

He is what he is: A slow, lumbering guy who gets on base, but has little power......whatever, that's fine. He's a complimentary piece, but not meant to be a star run producer by any means.

He really needs to do whatever it takes to develop more power. What good is it for a slow, lumbering guy to hit singles, but no power? He should swing for the fences and sacrifice his batting avg. 10-20 points.

It was only one game and it looks like Detroit could stay hot the rest of the regular season.

Royals have to catch up to a a few teams for the wildcard. and players have not been available because of injury or other things.

But if there was one bad decision from Saturday's game, It was Wade Davis throwing the exact same fastball on the outside corner to Miguel Cabrera, that was fouled off the pitch earlier. I think that was Davis's last batter and led to a run or runs at a key point in the game.
