As time goes on, there are less and less problems. You download a game on steam it probably has a better chance of working than your laser going bad on the console or getting a RROD/permacrash.

If they would just release Sports games on PC, there would be no reason at all to won a console..nada.

Consoles are still much cheaper. Once again, that chart doesn't factor in the accessories you would need. I'm sorry, I am not going to leave my huge pc tower in the family room. I am also not going to sit there with a mini desk playing on a m/k.

Factor in the ability to resell your games and xbox/ps4 combined is still cheaper.

When you factor in all of the free entertainment available on pc, it's not even close...PC is way cheaper to own/maintain.

click on the ps3/ps4 to see how long it is between releases. there are 1000/1 pc games released to consoles. Plus when you upgrade a console, you more than likely can't play the old games on anything but...you guessed it pc that emulates the old system.

What accessories do you need? Dont you need controllers and headsets and shit for console too? There is no difference? Saying you have to buy a monitor is assanine. Not to mention, most people alreayd have monitors and PC desks becuase on top of a console THEY ALREADY HAVE A PC!

Whens the last time you resold games for more than a few bucks? If you buy the game for 60, get ten bucks back for it that's 50 bucks. If you buy it on steam sale for 7.99.. 19.99, whatever, how is that worsE?

Also, if you are dead set on using your PC as a "gaming console", why would you have a big tower? have a tower the same size as a console. Dont you see you can do that? ****, you can make them SMALLER!

I've bought the big titles on steam for as little as 2 bucks, and it's ALWAYS there if you wanna redownload/play/delete it. No need to go look for the disc/dig out the old console.

I don't know the numbers and I am not going to look them up, but I would imagine most people nowadays either buy laptops or tablets. If I didn't buy that gaming rig I would never of had a desktop.

All accessories you need with a console come with the console. Controller, headset etc..

If I buy a game new which is usually never, I take a 6-8 dollar hit. Unless it's a fantastic multiplayer game, I don't really hang onto the game for more than a month.

I bought my rig in 08 or 09. It was a while ago. I upgraded to a radeon 6 series not too long ago that can run directx11. I think its a 6700.
