I think Wake makes the tourney as well. They are currently #59 RPI which will increase after their games against syracuse\duke etc... They are 12-5 currently, and with a weak bottom half of the ACC, could end up with 21 wins before the ACC Tournament.

Nino Williams of Kansas State called their performance in Allen Fieldhouse a “fluke.” He then said that Kansas State had their “worst game of the season” while Kansas “had their best performance of the year.”

Bench scrubs giving bulletin board material for next month, that's nice.

KSU is a team that lost to terrible Northern Colorado and Charlotte this year, in addition to getting blown out by Georgetown on a neutral court. The only fluke here is how they've managed to win 13 games so far.

They still look a hell of a lot better than last year. I doubt they make the tournament, but Texas might.

FWIW, Uconn @ Memphis is a decent game.

saphojunkie 01-16-2014 07:19 PM

I wonder if the bottom of the league will cannibalize each other for that last couple tourney spots.

Prison Bitch 01-17-2014 10:26 AM

My brother said we match up well with KSU this season. I said, "We've matched up well with them for the past 30 years"

Not having Thomas Gipson REALLY hurt this team early on. They are a completely different team than the one that lost those first two games to UNC and Charlotte. Not sure we beat GT even with a healthy Gip.

K-State is def much better than they showed in AFH. and I wouldn't necessarily call Northern Colorado terrible.

K-State has no offense. They'll be lucky to make the tournament this year.

And if you can't call a shitty team from the Big Sky conference that just lost to Montana State this week terrible, I don't know who would qualify.

KSU will be 10x better once Spradling graduates unless he has like, infinite eligibility.

lol no kidding that guy is a liability out there.

it'd be one thing if he fit the "white guy guard = sharpshooter" profile but he can't shoot worth a shit during a game. He's not even quick enough really to get open.

Aaron Rodgers was in Lawrence today for some reason. Anyway, he watched KU's practice and gave some tips to JoJo on how to celebrate Marcus Smart style...

@jojo_embiid: Aaron Rodgers stopped by today to watch practice and show me how to do Backflips
