I like Planet Sub a lot but don't eat there too often because it is a bit pricey

A half sub (enough for lunch) is under $6 after tax. Pretty cheap these days IMHO.

A place in Tulsa called Bill and Ruth's is where it's at. Best subs, bar none.

That sucks they don't have a bar

No love for Goodcents?

That's what I was thinking, even tho I've never had one. People rave about them.

Goodcents is good, but like someone said. Some locations can be crummy. But at the good locations it's very good.

I lost a **** ton of weight on the Planet Sub $2 turkey after a Royals win diet in 2010.

I'm on the Paja Johns 5 run victory diet myself. I've only got to order it like four times this year.

Yeah, I remember that 1 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts I got as part of the dozen hits gets you a dozen donuts promo in '06.

I've been to the Carnegie Deli in NYC. Very expensive, but tasty. The Sub Shop in Columbia, MO is epic. Planet Sub here in KC is very close in quality. You know who a sleeper is? Casey's General Store. You can get a 12-inch ham and cheese sub with all the fixings for $5. It's got twice the meat you'll get at Goodcents -they've gone cheap. There's this old middle eastern dude in Overland Park that owns one. He slices the meat thin as he can. You can see the meat on the sandwich, barely. I got tired of paying for skimpy sandwiches, so I quit going there altogether. Don't miss it at all.

I was wondering when someone was going to bring up Casey's. They finally opened one up here and bought out a local chain.

Yeah, it's a franchisee thing. When you set your slicer to produce paper thin shreds and pile four on a bun, **** you. That's why I've pretty much avoided the Goodcents closest to me.

We don't have Casey's in my area but when in greater KC I've discovered this place is sneaky awesome!
