I can't hear the name Jon Baldwin and not think of Scott ****ing Pioli. Specifically, the story Bad Guy told about us about to draft Kaepernick, only to have Pioli nix that for Baldwin, because his pro bowl QB Matt Cassel just needed another weapon to go with Bowe. Hahahaha, ****.

It looks like we're going to end up with 3 starters out of the first 4 rounds of that 2011 draft. That's if Bailey turns out to be something decent.

The Chiefs have drafted plenty of AIDS trees and obvious failures in that span, but given the reeruns and assholes running the team in that stretch, we could have ended up a lot worse draft-wise. No clue how Dorsey is going to continue that. 2013 seems to have produced several valuable contributors, but no studs. 2014's draft on the surface seems to do about the same depending on how soon Dee Ford gets a chance to take over the reins. And that's if he's even good enough to do so. |

I think you over value what we lost. Plus we didn't have money. The best way to add talent is to grow it from within and you don't know that we haven't done that yet. How can you talk about the future and talk about hindsight in the same thread? Some liked Baldwin in the draft and he sucked. Some don't like Gaines because he wasn't in their draft magazine but he could be better than Flowers. We don't know yet. |

yes, if a bunch UDFAs and street scrubs suddenly turn into NFL class starters then we didn't lose much talent. If a bunch of 6th and 7th round picks develop then we didn't lose depth. and Ifs and buts were candy and nuts we will all have a great xmas btw what is you main alts name? |
Hopefully he can teach Sorensen to be a lifelong S/T/role player for us while also making a few key plays. If he can make the key plays McGraw made in 2010 without the 5 second 40 time and gaping hole between his legs then we will be solid!

And while his 4.67 40 time isn't the greatest (though it was faster than Kendrick Lewis'), he managed to set or tie positional (safety/defensive back) Combine records in the speed/burst drills (shuttles, cones, etc.). The guy can really turn/change direction and go like a mofo, which is kinda what you want in a safety. He's also got pretty good football instincts. He's textbook on tackles and positioning. He should be an immediate contributor on special teams and viable as a decent backup who has the potential be able to grow into a solid nickle/dime package guy and maybe even a starter. Personally, I thought Sorensen, along with Wilson, was the best draft pick we made in 2014, and he/they was an UDFA pickup. If Dorsey could apply what he does in selecting UDFA's to the actual draft picks versus sticking to his board like superglue to skin, we might actually end up with a decent draft versus having to get guys after the draft as UDFAs. |
At least Javier Arenas is not on the team no more

He better not be white.

gregory
as a lifelong chiefs fan living in New England i have seen all of gregory's stint with the Pats. he is not the answer. he is smart, and plays with good instincts. he is also a willing, but not capable tackler. he is slow and not physically imposing. he was basically a whipping boy on what was a less than impressive defense.
