My mom is really into geneology (sp???), and has traced her lineage back to 1680 in Virginia, including a stop during the American Revolution that earned her a place in Daughters of the American Revolution.

All that leads up to the fact that, as a descendant of Revolutionaries, I find the use of the word "Patriots" for the blatant purpose of making money to be highly offensive. It doesn't help that they at least got rid of that stupid logo with the guy in a three point hat also in a three point stance.

The team name must go.

The Redskins, I get. Not saying I agree with it, but it is at least understandable, because the word itself in its common use is intended to be derogatory.

But the Chiefs? Please.
